Remove Paint from Exterior Door Handles

I'm trying to remove the paint from the door handles on my IS so that I can repaint them.

I've tried Aircraft Paint Remover and also Brake Fluid and neither did anything. I know the Brake Fluid is hit or miss, but I'm dumbfounded as to why 3 coats of Aircraft did nothing.

Anyone removed / stripped this paint before?

Any suggestions, I'm at a loss.

Leave the paint on and paint over it.

You just need to do some surface prep first by sanding or scuffing the existing surface so it's ready to be re-painted.

There are LOADS of videos on YouTube about how to prep plastic parts for re-painting. Do a search, watch a few, and before you know it, you'll be ready to paint and get good results. They will tell you what products work best etc.
