Going to try to revive as much of this as I can. Pictures won't be exact, and I may not put ALL of the pictures back, but I'll do what I can over time.

Thanks Mike :) I look forward to getting them installed eventually lol.

do you have any close-ups of the lug nuts? i can't seem to decide whether i should get the r40 longer ones or the r26 like yours
I actually don't have any other pictures than those. I wouldn't get the R40's unless the area where you lug nuts go on your wheels are really recessed. I think extended lugs with some faces can look out of place.

I can try to get some more pictures tomorrow or something if you want. They'll be on my car though lol.

wait....are you getting the whole car painted or just something on the car? :S
Not the whole car

Ugo Rep roof spoiler
JDM rear bumper
Vertex side skirts
Vertex rear lip

Those parts are going to be painted. I actually talked to the guy today and he said he would be finished prepping them this week. So it'll probably take a little longer than I expected.

And no I'm not having the front bumper repainted YET. It's white and matches close enough . I'm looking to have it repainted over the winter and the license plate section filled. Of course if it looks like shit once I put the full kit on I'll probably have it redone sooner.

I painted my toe links the other day. Another random/stupid color

That's an interesting tie dye color scheme you have going on under your car

Hey Corey......checking in to see if you are aight from that storm. I heard about that devastating twister that went through your town. Hope all is well brother.

Thanks guys. I have very spotty service and no Internet right now so I'm on my phone.

My family and I are safe, our house wasn't in the area that got devastated thankfully. We all had just made it home from my sisters graduation. And I may have gotten off the highway and seen the rain wrapped tornado. I'll update more later when I have better service.

Unfortunately some of my friends have lost their houses and potentially their cars, but as of right now no one I know has been hurt or killed.

Hopefully the storms coming tomorrow don't end up being as bad as they are thinking... The last thing we need is another tornado.

#936 ·
I'm glad you're safe Corey. I read that there were winds up to 198 mph. I also saw some pics and vids of the aftermath, and everything in the tornadoes path was just leveled--scary stuff to say the least. I can't believe you stopped to take pictures :jawDrop:

#937 ·
Good to hear that you're alright man.
The pics I saw were so intense!

#938 · (Edited)
Alright thanks guys. I should be back now. It makes me feel a little guilty, but I have to try to get into a normal routine at some point.

My family and I ended up being EXTREMELY lucky. My brother had originally started driving straight towards the tornado, but heard on the radio that it was coming so he turned around and got out of there. He was safe and fine. My parents took the highway and as they were exiting saw Joplin lose power, but they made it home fine.

I got off the highway about 2 minutes after them. Pulled over and snapped two pics, got a text from my girlfriend saying "OMG we are in the basement get home NOW!", tried to call her, went to voicemail, starting to leave her one then said, "HOLY SHIT. I've gotta go". I was putting my camera up when I called her, then looked back over towards Joplin to see a wall of black swirling wind. There's a grassy area across the street from where I was parked and it was blowing in every direction. Craziest thing I've ever seen. I wish I would have gotten a picture of it but all I have is the calm right before.

DSC_6413 by white_is, on Flickr

Literally a block and a half from my girlfriends house everything is just gone. That side of town is where I have been and it's bad. But the east side of town around Rangeline out to Duquense is supposedly worse.

It's crazy. So much stuff is just gone.

I've got pictures, but haven't gone through them yet. I'm sure you guys have probably seen pictures/video on TV by now but still lol.

#939 ·
Damn Corey, that's insane. Good play by play though..lol. Glad you and your fam are okay. To the others hope that are okay and will get through this tough time.

#942 ·
Wow glad your ok. I live in KC and weather been pretty crazy here too.
Glad to hear you and your family made it through.
This years weather has been so crazy!
Thanks guys. Things are definitely different around here.

But I washed my car and tooks some pictures today. Working up uploading them now...

Still no kit though :(

#944 ·
That looks really good! It's not over-done...just the way I like it. What really amazes me is how "normal" everything looks at your house. How far do you have to go before you see the areas that were hit by the tornado? 3-4 miles?

#945 ·
Thanks Rey. Now I just need to get my kit back so I can put it on!

And yeah it's crazy... My neighborhood is all peaceful and normal, but about 4-5 miles away is completely leveled.

It can be surreal at times. Things seem normal just hanging out here, you don't think about the tornado, and then you drive into town and it's like BAM. What the F*&R%# happened??

It's still shocking to see :jawDrop:

#949 ·
Thanks Jacob!

glad to hear u and ur fam are safe Corey, that map trail of the tornado is crazy!

when'd u get Koenigs? those are nice!!!!
Thanks Em! The destruction is unreal in person. If you are in the right place you can clearly see the path it took. It's nuts!

I picked up the Koenigs over winter. They're 18x9 +35 and 18x.10.5 +41 but I have to run a 15mm up front to clear my LS400 calipers. And I may throw a 5mm spacer in the rear sometime! It wouldn't be a probably for me to add a little camber since I'm running less than -1* in the back :p

I'm looking forward to refinishing them over the winter though. They look good from far but are far from good lol.

Nice last few pics man!
Thank you!

Car is looking super clean!
Thanks guys!

Your last group of pics look really good man. Looks extemely clean, not overdone, and wheels look good as well as the offset. Well done so far:approve:. BTW, glad to hear you and your fam is ok. I can't even imagine.
I'm just ready to get my kit on! I can't wait for full Vertex!

I got some poweredbymax 15mm w/extended studs if u want them...homie price of course!
Thanks! But I already have some, I actually went through 2 different sets  Ichiba V2's wouldn't fit with my Koenig's, so I had to buy a set of V1's.

EDIT: I've bought a few small things the last couple days. Nothing big though.
  • Redline MT-90 Tranny Fluid
  • Redline 75/90 Gear Oil
  • Brand New OEM Black Carpet Floor Mats
  • Genuine Lexus CW Touch Up Paint
  • Mad TYTE JDM License Plate Bracket
  • OEM Intake Air Filter

Should be getting those parts all in next week, and hopefully dropping my car off at the body shop.

I need to get out and by some fresh bolts for my engine bay/license plates, but I've been lazy. Driving through town SUCKS with all the destruction. I'll do that eventually.

And I need to take my cooling plate to be powder coated. I've had it off for seriously 4 months at least. I just haven't got out to the shop.

I'd like to say that's basically all I'm going to have going on this summer, but I know something will come up. There's just too many parts I'd like to have

I may be getting a hook up on one or more parts too  That probably won't be for another week or two though. I'm excited to see how it plays out though! As always, I'll update when I can.

And I hardly take pictures of my interior, but I took some today. I'll post them eventually lol.
