As some of you may know I'm currently underway in my 02 Sportcross turbo build. After researching my options and talking with a few companies I decided to go with the XS Power kit. I actually got to speak with the owner of XS Power and he told me they are rolling out a new design for 2016 and he would let me be the first to receive it.

I ordered the kit and it took just 4 days to receive it. Today i got it and I have to say I'm impressed.

First lets talk about the manifold. Every single weld is spot on each exhaust port is extremely clean, the T4 mount and collector welds are better than my last SRT manifold and its just freaking beautiful to look at.

The downpipe is the same way. It has 3 o2 bungs which is the same as most so you can support your B1S1 B2S1 and wideband sensor. Again welds are perfect and its heavy duty just like the manifold. It features a slight kick to better clear the firewall as well. My previous kit years ago from a different company was always close and I didn't much like that. The pipe is 3" features a v-band for the turbo and 2 bolt to complete the rest of the system.

The best part which I though would have needed ordering is it came with all of the necessary feed lines, fittings, vacuum lines, gaskets, hardwear, manifold and turbo studs, and even the oil feed adapter for the block.

The BOV is a RS style to the Tial style. I used to have a RS on old kit and I gotta say this looks the exact same. Quality is on point and love the v-band. Wastegate is a 4 bolt HKS style and seems good quality as well.

Turbo is a T4 styled after a Garrett GT35. Its oil feed only and has a ar of Compressor wheel (Front) is a AR of.60 and the exhaust side is a AR of .84. Full spool should be right at 3k. I also opted for the turbo blanket which is very nice.

The intercooler kit couldn't be better. The intercooler is nice and big but not so big that its gonna creat pressure drop. The hot side piping is 2.5 and the cold side is 2.75 which is the same as the stock intake tube so it will be perfect for the MAF readings since nothing is changing.

All in all Im impressed.

If you guys need anything or have questions let me know ill try to help. I hope this post helps others that want to boost but not go crazy in power and price. I plan to roll 8-10psi daily which this will have no problem at all doing

Fuel system and management is all thats left when you buy this kit.

Tons of you are asking me where to get the kit or contact someone. I dont sell the kit i just reviewed it for people to help. For info email this guy

Looks like a sweet Kit! About how much is it? I'm planning on going turbo this summer, and I'm looking to get a kit that will get my foot in the door to boost, and then upgrading individual components from there. I was looking at CX racing, but this seems like a viable option as well. Seems that you could get some solid gains on this without having to worry about quality, whereas that may be a more prominent problem with CX. Let me know your thoughts! Excited to watch this thread!

Be.Parker - When looking for a kit I did ALOT of research regarding the cx-racing kit. The kit had a couple things I didn't like it and for these reasons I ultimately didn't buy it.

The manifold is tilted back towards the fire wall. In the photos you can see how extremely close it is and I didn't want to have to worry about melting wires or exposing things that shouldn't see that kind of heat, to of which turbo would throw off.

Another is I read from numerous people the turbo oil drain is a pain in the butt. The way the manifold is designed its very very close and the only safe way to run it was to use a hard copper line.

My goal for this is to have a nice reliable vehicle that I can depend on but have fun with at the same time. I want to be able to drive it every single day take a road trip here and there and not worry. I think with my boost goal for 8-10 psi and my expectations this should be a problem with this kit.

Heres my build thread ---- http://my.is/forums/f219/sportcross-turbo-gte-e-manage-more-567122/index2.html

Yes he sent me one a few months back it was made extremely well. My shop fixed the original manifold i had and actually sold the newer style and regretting it now that my motor blew and i had to take the manifold back off my car. If i have any issue with my first generation style manifold i will def be getting another one of this new style. Very high quality.

Thanks for the response. +REP

I too read a lot of those same things, I didn't know however that this maniforld was less of a worry for melting wires. I did read about the oil return and that was another reason I've been reading around about other option turbos. The main problem is all these non readers posting new threads about these turbos and such makes it hard to search and find effective threads lol, so I'm glad you had this one I could ask about. I'm also looking for the same DD ability with modest power gains, at least to begin with. I'll give the owner an email! Thanks again!

I paid $1450.00 shipped to my door. I didn't receive any type of discount and I have any affiliation with the company. Im just here to help people boost on a budget.

Now you will need a management I'm using Emanage Ultimate and you will need injectors

I got wrx 440cc injectors which are plug and play and they are cheap.

Make sure they are 02-05 your looking for Denso 440cc top feed

So all in all your looking at $1450.00 for the kit +600-700 for a Emanage or some type of system + 150 for injectors = 2,200 - 2,300 for a full turbo kit running 8psi of reliable boost.

Now if your gonna do a fuel pump, head gasket, apr studs, or a fuel return it will be more but it all varies on the power you wanna make.

Wow that manifold looks great! It's leaps and bounds better than what they used to offer. I heard about XS power in the past and there was even a guy on the forums who used their kit back in 2011 with good results.

Back then they had quality control issues and some guys had their turbo go out in a year while others didn't have a single problem. It was really a hit or miss with this kit, but it looks like they really stepped their game up.

Also I thought they went under a couple of years ago. I think it was in 2013 their forums shut down and their kits completely disappeared from ebay. Alot of people complained because they had alot of really useful information there, but I guess it doesn't matter now. Even if they did go under it looks like they came back better than before :approve:

I would still replace the turbo, wastegate, and bov for a name brand unit just for the piece of mind though. Anyways I guess I know what manifold I'll get next if I ever have any problems with my SRT manifold ;)

The manifold does look a lot better than there original design. Props to them for making adjustments! Agreed with blkaltezza, I would opt out of there BOV, Wastegate, oil feed/return lines and turbo. My .02 though. My CX manifold is still doing its job (knock on wood).. I cant complain!

Absolutely nothing wrong with the turbo its a garrett spec

I know many people running this kit one with 15k on it no issue running 10psi

Also im getting alot of pm messages about this. I dont sell the kit you guys will have to email xspowernick@gmail.com

Everyone is asking how much i paid?
The price I paid is 1350 shipped for EVERYTHING

The piping is great and love the fact that its all ready to just clamp together.

I think my favorite part of the kit so far is the manifold and the intercooler. The construction of the intercooler is very heavy duty and love the fact that the crash bar can stay in place
