Drag Race On-Track Insurance

Is there any way to get insurance while racing on-track at a drag strip? What do you guys do for this or do you just take the risk? Any advice otherwise? I really want to take my car to the track but I'm worried about the insurance and everything. Thanks for any of your help and +rep to anyone.

It is pretty much the risk you take. I used to go all the time with the understanding that if something were to happen, it would be on me. The important thing is don't try to be a hero, get used to how your car reacts on the track especially if you are running slicks. Also you can't be afraid to let off the gas.

And make sure your regular insurance company doesn't catch you there, always take your tags off while racing. My policy was canceled because of racing at a legal track event.
