Well! I did it guys..... I ordered my new wheels.

BAM!

I know they're somewhat common, but who cares. I think they're the f***in' sickest wheels.... Semi-aggressive FTW haha

I just ordered some Yokohama S-Drive's 215/40 & 245/40 too. I was going to get some Falken FK452's, but I heard more positive things about the Yoks....
im confused on 245/40's isnt that going to give you like 4% off from the speedometer ?

or if your stretching the tire that does not apply much?

Well, the front is a 215/40/18, which is exactly the same as a 215/45/17 in terms of tire circumference and whatnot. The rear is a 245/40 which is a somewhat meatier tire, which I wanted since I'm stretching it a bit on a 9.5" rim. I figured I didn't want to go with a 255/35 because it would be a hassle at my preferred ride height (low low low) and rub a lot, nor did I want to go with a 245/35 (same as a 215/45/17) since it was going to be stretched and provide much less protection for the wheel both laterally and with respect to sidewall height. Plus, a 245/35 is more stretched than a 245/40 and a stretched 245/40 will have close to the same circumference as a 215/45/17 stock wheel.

Damn, no contest. ALthough I know you picked already, but the vs-xx wins hands down. Rpf-1 while hot, is not even close in comparison with this selection. I'm glad you chose wisely my son...lol.

235/35 if you can find it will fit better than a 225/40 on the rear.
just so you know, and by fit better i mean look better fitted.

BFG KDW is the only tire I could find in that size and I decided to go for a bit more tread... 245/40 rear. I was thinking about 245/35 but I want a slightly thicker tire to protect the rim. We'll see how low I can go with 6k rear coils

Thats the next fix on the list. It's never-ending.

KDW's are square shoulder tires, if your thinking of stretching them on and making them fit behind your fenders, give up ahahha you need a rounded shoulder tire, im pretty sure falken fk542's come in that size.

I hear ya. I ordered a set of Work VS-XX's for my Scion xB back in June 2008 and I just received them April 2009. 10 Months wait and I paid much more than $1500.00 for them! Nice find!

Damn... I knew there was a wait-time, but 10 months? Wow. I'm happy to have scooped these up for much less than buying them new.

By the way, what lug nuts do you guys think I should use with my VS-XX?

I know that I want some McGard Spline-Drive lugs, I'm just debating between which color to get, since they all match my wheels.

Gold, black, or chrome?

I feel so indecisive....
