I figured you didn't. And why don't you just rub it in some more I get it, you're lower BUT one of these days I might put those shorter springs in !

Man, I can't wait until Monday. It's gonna be so nice to finally roll around on them! Try to get some good pics of the front with the spacers on. You're my deciding factor!

It didn't look like it would, but I might roll them anyway so I won't have to worry about it when I get spacers.

What wheels and sizes are you going with?
Not 100% sure but this seems like a good setup for the IS.. I'ma have to roll my fenders.. I'm pretty sure my MSM will look nice on some gunmetal 57MAX Pro grammys

F: 18x8 +42 with a 5mm spacer (215/40)
R: 18x9.5 +42 with a 10mm spacer (235/40)

may i just suggest that you go:
18x9 +38F w/3mm spacer (62mm lip)
18x9.5 +42R w/10mm spacer (62mm lip)

9 x 25.4 / 2 - 35 = 79.3-66(rolled fender limit) = 13.3mm poke
9.5 x 25.4 / 2 - 32 = 88.65-75(rolled fender limit) = 13.65mm poke

this way you can have the same lip all around with the same amount of poke while still staggering your wheels/tires but of course you know that you'll need to roll your fenders flat, run camber, and stretch tires ..im not really sure if this is the look your going for but at the least i guess im just saying what i think im not proficient in tire sizes and sections width, sidewall heights, etc...so im not gonna suggest tire sizes but the same stretch all around is ideal

edit: or you can go 18x10 +38 like these guys and get a 80MM LIP! and forget having the same size lip all around!!! (these probably aren't 80mm lips)

18x10 +33

Sounds like a good setup to me, but I'd go with a 10mm spacer for the front to push it to a +32 (it will be *flush* with the fender). As far as the tires go, I would go with a 215/40 front and a 245/35 rear. They both have the same sidewall height, diameter (24.7") and have similar stretch on the wheels you're putting them on. Also, they're closest to the stock 215/45r17 so your speedo will be spot on

I think a 235/40 looks kind of goofy since it's noticeably taller than a 215/40... Might just be me though.

I think this is a good plan, but the only downside with this is once you go that aggressive, there is no way out of it. If you dont like the look of stretched tires, then you're kind of SOL. That's why I think the 18x8 in the front would be a better option, so he can run spacers if he wants, but then he can also take them out and run larger tires if he so chooses

BTW, I have a 76mm lip in the rear with my 18x9.5+38

I'm still not sure if I wanna go too aggressive either cause it's going to require a camber kit and I'm still a newbie to this ish.. maybe I don't wanna poke out the rear so much and just keep a 5mm spacer all around with 18x8 +42F and 18x9.5 +42R

edit: am I reading this right but gram lights only offer +42 and +22 for their 18x9.5????

18x8 +42
Front: 8 * 25.4 / 2 - 32 = 69.6 (4.9mm poke with 10mm spacer)
8 * 25.4 / 2 - 37 = 64.6 (w/ 5mm spacer) .. wouldn't this setup sit closer to the fender???

twestman, your rear poke is 7.65mm and it does look good..

If I do 9.5 +42 with a 5mm spacer, we will have almost the same poke.. 8.65mm

Yeah 1mm is not noticeable whatsoever. I'd go with the +42 since it will still give you a 62mm lip but also allows for adjustability in tire sizes.

If you read the chart, you can see that there are two different disk types for the 18x9.5; A & B.

A is a "high disk" which is 51mm away from the hub. B is a "standard disk" that's 39mm away from the hub (about a 1/2" difference). With the "A" disk, you can do a +10(82mm lip), or a +30(62mm lip). With the "B" disk, you can do a +0(104mm lip), +22(82mm lip), or a +42(62mm lip). As far as the far right column, you can also do some custom offsets like the +52(40mm lip), -14(106mm lip), etc.

Making sense? You could always do the 18x10+38 and have about 7mm more poke, or you could also do the 18x10+52 since it will have the same 60mm lip as the 18x9.5+42, but it will be right on with the 75mm fender limit after rolling/shaving. Then you could add a spacer as needed? Just a few more options.
