yea pictures dont do these wheels justice especially the sbc finish.
In this case, I would say rpf1. The ssr has too many spokes and takes away from the wheel IMO.

Quite honestly, I like the SSR's MUCH better than RPF1's. Plus, the LX-F are very rare and make your IS stand out.
I agree. I actually REALLY like those. I mean yeah the RPF1's look good, but SO many people run them. I like wheels that look good and are at least decently rare.
BTW, my SSR's will be here tomorrow!! I'm freakin excited. I got my tires today too! ahdfadhg

what are you getting?!
so as you all know.. ive had 2394872 ideas running through my head and is in the process of accomplishing... now im thinking bout keeping these rims and re-doing the whole thing. im bout to take the wheels off and swap the stocks on to get ready for paint. im gonna go get a quote to see how much it'll cost to re do the whole wheel.. make it look brand spanking new

SSR Professor MS1 - Gold - 18x8 +37 and 18x9 +37. I can't wait!
I actually think it is a good idea to keep the wheels and have them refinished. If you have them redone and then get some spacers to push it out a little more I think you'll be happy. I'm most likely getting spacers for my wheels too, I just haven't decided if it's gonna be 5mm or 10mm. So I'd say look into the cost of that first.
Oh and do you know the disk "size" of your wheels?

NICE!!! the professor MS1 is a great choice!
i actually just got some 5mm spacers.. not sure whether im gonna rock em in the front or the rear just yet. i have a feeling i'd get another set of 5mm anyways to flush out both front and rear.
to be honest, im not sure about the disk sizes.. i am aware that they have the "high disk" or "low disk" option, right? how can you tell?

Yeah, I wish I could find some 7mm spacers to make them +30's but either 5mm or 10mm will do. I think yours would look great with 5mm's all around.
Do you still have the stickers on the inside of the wheels? They should say on there. This is a picture of an SP1's wheel sticker. The HP on the left side under the SP1 is the disk, so that would be the Hyper Disk.
I'm not sure about your wheels but the MS1's come in SL (Super Low), NR (Normal), MD (Medium), and HP (Hyper).
been kinda holding off on it.. too many things going at once. paint, coils, roll fender, swap wheels, sell parts, alkdjavlkgd.... driving me crazy lol
werd lol you should worry about wheels and such once everything settles down at least until after you sell your parts (for more $$$) and install coils but maybe you should roll your fenders and then get the car painted ..wait are you repainting your whole car or just the new fenders lol

Yeah it's going to look sick! I love MS1's.
The way I found out what my disk sizes for my VS-XX's was by looking at the specifications sheet provided by Work Wheels USA. SSR has a similar sheet for their wheels. You find your size/offset and there is normally only one offset that matches up to a certain disk type.
For example, my fronts are 18x8+38, and there is only one match for that offset/width and that's a "standard" disk. My rears are 18x9.5+39, and the one match for that offset/width is a "deep rim disk".

They should be here in about 12 hours, so I'll try to get pictures up somewhere. BUT it will just be of the wheels themselves.
I had planned to use some spacers with some 18's I have laying around to estimate how much I need to roll my fenders, but I didn't end up getting spacers yet. And because of the timing with my vacation and the wheels getting here I haven't done anything to the fenders yet. So I won't actually have the wheels on until I can get that done. I'm hoping to have it done by the weekend though. Plus I figured it would be easier to just roll them to fit the wheels, rather than guessing at how much to roll and everything.

so what are the differences between the SL, NR, MD, and HP? lip size, concaveness, or..?

im only getting my front end painted. im currently barrowing my buddy's roller and heat gun and will give it a shot myself.. hopefully its not too difficult.
however, as for my front vertex fenders, im still debating whether or not to trim down the inner lip of the fender, then get it painted. hmmmm...
good point tho. i shouldnt really worry bout the wheels too much just yet. gotta get it painted, then coilovers, then wheels maybe

I'm not sure how it is for the LX-F, but for the MS1 I had two options for both size/offset. They both came in the Super Low disk for the most lip, and then the Normal disk.
I went with the Super Low disk on both for the most lip. That's why I'm kinda worried. I'm not sure if I'm going to have trouble with caliper clearance in front or not.

Kind of. The different disk sizes are designed to work with different brakes. Hyper Disk will fit like all BBK, Medium will fit some BBK, Normal will fit all stock brakes, and Super Low is usually done in the rear where the brakes aren't as big. A good example is to look at xagenesis's wheels. The front wheel is convex but the rear wheel is flat. His front wheels will fit huge BBK, while his rears won't. This effects the lip size, or concavity depending on the style. Atleast that's my limited understanding
