Reviews for Federal Tires SS595

Has anybody purchased these tires before?

What you think about them

I have a set of these on my IS, when I bought it about 2 years ago it was only $55 per tire for 215/45/17.

I think they now run for about $75 bucks. Pretty inexpensive for tires. I think a lot of drifters use these tires.

FEDERAL 595 Drift Competition

These tires wouldn't be a bad choice if you are looking for a inexpensive good proformance tire.

+1.... More road noise than some other tires, but drifters not hypnotized by Falken know these tires are where its at. I've run them on my last two cars and both my current cars and love them.

I pay anywhere between 520-550 depending on size starting at 215/40/18 thru 235/40/18. Also depends on where you buy them from. I have quite a bit of -neg camber in the rear for my wheels/tires to clear and have run on them like that for over 5 months. I Just took the rears off and they look the same as the outside edge of the tire with plenty of tread. But everyone knows toe kills tires, not camber.

^^^+1 for City Tire Online.
John and Brian are super cool dudes. I'm local so I get all my tires from them.

I got a set of Federals on my S13 hatch. Ive had them for about a year now on my daily and tread wear is great. Still lots of meat. I have adjustable arms so camber is still within facvtory specs. Price for theese tires is great. Sidewalls are a lil beefier than say a Toyo or Falken; but they still can stretch. When stretched, the sidewalls ar more staight edged than curved or rounded. I guess the sidewalls were designed to be stonger for drifting.

Great tire and Great prices

they're great tires for the price. i got a set for a bargain.

i've noticed that it makes a lot more road noise compared to the stock tires, but its nothing too unbearable.

Ss595

I don't own an IS but wanted to let you all know that the Federal SS595 are an awesome tire. I own a 2003 sunfire and bought a set used on rims and have run them for the past 4 summers and the previous owner ran them on her cavalier for 3 summers, and now I have just bought my second set of the same tire 215/45R17. Great handling wet or dry with some road noise but nothing to bothersome.
