I have yet to find the seibons in a decent offset. I dont want to run a crazy setup cause im not widebody and i refuse to do more then shave my fenders. Ive yet to see a pull that was straight and looked decent.
I have a powder coater, just need an oven. its way cheaper to do it yourself. my powder coating system only cost 60 bucks, does an ok job and i can get a kitchen oven for 100$ or less off of craigs list. just look into it.
i heard just regular ovens only heat the top or bottom so the whole part doesn't cure properly. think about it, why wouldn't everyone just buy a $60 powdercoating system at harbor freight or something instead of paying hundreds of dollars at a powdercoat shop?

the reason is because of the prep work that is involved in having a good powdercoat. the end product is all about how good your prep job is.

you heard wrong, if you heat an oven to 450-500 degrees, and its a convection oven, or a double broiler, it heats all the way around. the reason not everyone does it, is the same reason not everyone mods their own car... they're chicken shit, dont see the point, or don't care to learn.

I have a powdercoat system at my house its not hard to do but if you want perfect results you better take it somewhere. Especially with aluminum or it will pit out on you FAST

Hmm somethings you're better of outsourcing the job.

definately agree, but i just get frustrated when nobody is willing try anything for themselves. i've been on several forums and this is definately the first where the majority of the members can't weld, dont fabricate, and pay somebody else to do everything. i hate that. to me it seems like a huge reason why the aftermarket seems to have skipped us.

That would be more of a reason for the aftermarket to come into this market. The aftermarket skipped this car because it wasn't affordable to purchase until 2.5 years ago. Now that its affordable its almost too late unless more of the people that fabricate stuff are willing to start mass producing. I weld, powdercoat, fabricate and have even setup my own anodizing setup before and I have no interest in selling anything for the IS. Not to mention some things when you include your time are just cheaper to go have someone else do it like powdercoating.
