A list of each owner's name and the VIN # off your car. This should probably be done over PM just so that, for whatever reason, its not made public.
The question is, how do we compile a list? I'm thinking the easiest thing to do, is for everyone to PM me their name/VIN number, I'll collect it all, compile it into a list like a "meet sign up list" and then PM the completed list to everyone who sent me theirs.
I will then compose a letter, first person to give corporate Lexus an understanding of how unwilling Keyes Lexus was being to help me. I will post my letter, and for those who want to modify it for your own terms, go for it. If not, you guys can write you own letters.
In EVERYONE's letter, it must state the masses of people who suffer from this problem (which is why we are getting names/VIN #s)
So lets get to work and get this resolved. Thanks guys!
I know mine every once in awhile it goes into reverse harder than normal, and sometimes going into second it clunks -
Mine is a 2002 IS300 with 50k on it, I am the second owner, so I do not know if this has been the theme since it was new.

When I list all the ppl that have the problem in the letter I'm also going to say that this is a collective letter and we are all expecting the fix, so you all may not need to write letters too.
Well quick update on my own personal 5-speed.
The known ticking noise is apparently something having to do with a throw-out bearing or something, and Lexus does not do much transmission work anymore - they replace it all together. They've replaced mine once for the same noise, apparently Lexus just has 5-speed transmissions lying around to put into our cars. I'm really hoping its a 2005 5-speed or some revision, because I hate that ticking noise. They (of course) accused me of riding it too hard, or abusing it, but still replaced it after a stern look.
Hope this helps everyone in their quest to get the 5-spd to work a little more like a Lexus.

^^ had mine replaced for the throw out bearing too. it was only after I got the *new* transmission (supposedly the ones they replace it with are all rebuilt) that I started to get the pain in the ass 1-2 gear.
I get that sticky 1st and 2nd also... I've complained many times to my dealer and i've also got my slave cylinder replaced with a spring update. still get the same problem in the morning or when the car sits for like 3hrs +. count me in.
