Thanks for the tutorial. One question: in step 8 you talk about those clips that hold the bumper in place. For some reason, I'm missing one, and probably that's the reason my bumper doesn't line up perfectly on one side. I have no idea why is it missing, probably previous owner of the car lost it somehow. Anyway, any idea where I could get one? I tried searching but I have no idea how. "Lexus IS300 front bumper clips" doesn't help much) Maybe someone could tell me a factory part number of those so I could go to my local Toyota/Lexus part dealer and get one? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Maybe try the following site. You can enter the year and model of your car and then drill through a list of OEM parts for your car. It even includes images so you can see what you are trying to purchase.
Thank you for the link. I'm not sure 100% that I found what I need, but it's still a useful site. Of course, I could just drop my car at Toyota/Lexus dealership and ask them to fix the problem, but it's probably going to cost a lot, and it's a much better feeling to do such simple things yourself. Especially when the problem could probably be fixed just by adding a single clip. Anyway, thanks for your help, but if someone has any more info on the subject, I would really appreciate it.
what a bitch just to change headlight bulbs....i managed to do the right front just by removing the intake box...but damn....left side..forget it...stupid computer in the way... props to this tutorial. what's the estimated labor time frame?
you dont have to do all of that to change the bulbs jus gotta squeeze ur hands in there..and its easier to put the new bulb in and then connect the bulb after u lock it in place...thats how i did mine...got a few scratches on my hand but thats all..not bad for a change in the winter.
WOW!!! Great post man. I had a little bit of a mission the first time I tried it. This definitely helps out for anyone that wants to change their headlights. Props

3. While you at it, take this screw off which is the only hidden screw for the bumper on each side.
I don't mean to bump such an old thread, but this screw is really really really annoying to unscrew. Any tips for this step? such a tight squeeze, no tool i own will "cup" the top screw. I'm only trying to to remove the front bumper btw.
EDIT: Nevermind, I went to the hardware store and picked up some small wrenches and a socket extension accessory. Thnx for this thread. +rep
Worked like a charm. I removed and replaced the headlight controller on the passenger side. With the instructions printed out, I did the job in about two hours.
I recommend also removing the small crossmember under the headlight. 4 nuts and one bolt. It made life much easier.
By the way I found the computer/controller for my 02 is300 at ebay motors.
The Lexus dealer wanted $1200. I got mine, new OEM for 159.95.
Thanks guys.
