I have my issues with any ebay exterior auto parts like everyone else, but I do luv me some halos. Baking my headlights sounds like a recipe for disaster.

hy do you wanna pay $400 +shipping some somethin that looks like crap when you could send your lights down to AAC, have them painted and halos installed for around $300? those lights look like an inbred child of Uncle Ben and 1-Minute Rice

no dissrespect to AAC, but there halos have all kinds of problems... I even have the new style inverters for mine and there always flickering, sometimes they dont turn on, sometimes they wont get fully bright... And trust me all connections are excellent, I think the product itself is cheesy. It looks good when it works though, haha

yeah, but the people with problems are far outweighed by those who dont have any problems...Ive never had any trouble with them, but I know there are those who have. Im not standin up from them or callin you wrong, but Id sure as hell go to AAC looooong before Id get these lights from ebay

Excuse me everyone, when I did a search I typed in "ebay halos."
When you do take the time to do this search (because I have) you will notice that the rest of the posts are from like 2006 and do not list the halos that I did. Yes, I did see the other post titled "angel eyes." I tried the link and it did not work. I now have found out that ebay was blocked from my computer at work, hence why I was not able to see them.
So if I am guilty of anything, it was not rechecking the link at home. My bad. I guess I should know better than surf this site from work anyway.
Having said that:
You guys turn a fun fact filled forum into a place where if you ask a question you get called out and negative reped just because you didnt scan through a ton or irrelevant posts. Lets look at some faults of the search system now shall we??
1. You get results that if over like a year old, the pics will not work. I get little boxes where maybe the pics used to be, so whats the purpose of searching to see pics on some old post where the pics dont work. That is retarded. I cant tell you how many times I've used the search feature and got responses from 2003. Try to do a nitrous search and see how that turns out.
2. Search sucks. I know, because I use it alot. If a moderator can chime in and log into my account and see the amount of searches I do, and the amount of time that I spend on this site, you will see this. For example, if you do a search for "Joe Z intake" you will get a million posts that have the words "Joe" "Z" and "intake" in them. After searching through posts for an hour to find the answer to a simple question sometimes people become discouraged and result to a post.
3. The purpose of an online community is to reach out to others and learn from everyone's experience. Not to bash someone because they did'nt use a search in the way that you think it will work. This issue has been covered many times, how do I know you ask??? BECAUSE IVE SEARCHED THAT TOO!
In closing, I fully understand how search works.
And I understand why we use it, so you dont see "Which intake is the best" posts everyday. I got it. But chill out people, we all are IS owners and we all knew nothing at one time. I answer dumb posts alot now where people are asking about intakes or window tint or dumb things that have been covered a million times before. I look at it as helping those who have been in my shoes, because you never know who will be there in the future when you need help. Just a thought....
