Front strut tower bar install opinion

So there's 2 opinions on how to install the bar. One is to do it while the car is jacked up and one is when the car is on the ground. This is from the Tanabe site:

"A very common error when installing tower bars, It is always recommended to raise the vehicle when installing so that the load of the shock uppermounts on the shock towers is relieved and balanced out. When raised, and the tower bar is placed onto the vehicle, the preload can be adjusted and set. After it is bolted on and the car is lowered, each shock tower will have equal load and will prevent independent movements of each shock. This will provide an extremely noticeable difference after installing. If a tower bar is installed on a car that is not raised, great benefits will be missed."

From diy.net:

"Adding strut-tower bars is a simple modification, but it must be performed with the wheels on the ground. If you remove the strut-tower nuts while the car is on a jack, the struts will fall to the ground and may cause damage."

Stick with the DIY from the .net, Ive never heard of jacking a car up to install a strut bar, unless you have the whole car apart, doing suspension work. If you loosen all three of the tower bolts your strut will fall out as the DIY says, i mean it wont bc your control arm is still connected to the strut but......
