I am gonna try using two defoulers to fix my cel problem. Seems all s2k people used two and no one had a problem after.

We have very little room near the o2 sensors, we need some sort of angled adapter to fit the two couplers. Anyone have any ideas of can fab one up?

I will be trying these next week, as my cats are clogged and i am trading the car in so I just wanted a cheaper fix than replacing the stock manifold. Installing aftermarket headers and will probably just go ahead with using these in all the o2 locations just so I dont have to go back and try again.

If you're talking about the lower o2 sensor on the header, it's a tight fit but I got mine to work (using two of the shorter 42009 defoulers). It seems like I had to attach both defoulers to the o2 sensor first, and then screw that whole assembly into the o2 bung. The first few turns are pretty tight, but after that it went in pretty smoothly.

That being said, I'm still having CEL issues. . .I hollowed out my y-pipe the same time I changed my clutch/flywheel, which was about a month before I got my toyomoto header, and never got a CEL off the y-pipe o2 sensor...but now that I don't have any catalytic converters, it may be the culprit. I just need to get under the hood and look, but I'm waiting for it to cool off outside

I just bought an OBD2 scanner and look down occasionally

Do you put the o2 sim on the bottom bung of the header, and then leave the upper two o2 sensors and y-pipe o2 sensor in place?

Some o2 sims can be wired though the ecu, mine is wired on the passanger side going to the bottom o2 sensor plug and the ypipe wire under the car. No solder just twisted and shrink wrapped. Had it for two years through miami floods and everything. Havent had a problem thus far.

Any chance you could post a link to where I can buy one, or a part number or something? I'm tired of hooking up the OBD2 scanner all the damn time

Did it come with decent instructions?

And one last thing. . .do you know what codes the car is supposed to be throwing? I'm typically getting 4-5 codes each time I get a CEL, I need to reference the numbers again and check the exact description, but I want to make sure that all my CEL problems are definitely related to o2 sensor issues and not due to other things (like wiring for my SRT R-ECU coming loose, or a "real" problem). At one point I had a code that said something along the lines of "Bank 1 Sensor Reading A/F Too Lean". That wasn't exactly what it said, but that was the general point (and it may have been bank 2, I don't remember for sure. . .). Anyhow, I thought only the pre-cat o2 sensors read A/F, meaning there's a possibility the car was running too lean

Like I said, I need to just check the codes again and see if that's one that pops up.

I dont remember how I wired up the o2 sim, and it depends on the one you buy. If you search there are a plethora of posts regarding this subject.

As for codes just write them all down and search them on this site. Try the general service section.
