Vibration and MPG

If anyone knows the history of why I did this anyway... It is because I had a vibration I swore was my flywheel. And I was right. Hopefully your flywheel is balanced and everything is aligned.

I'm still pulling 24 MPG overall, and I shift at 3k rpms most of the time.

As for your MPG, that's unfortunate to hear, as the guy who created this thread said he saw a significant improvement in gas mileage and I was hoping it would do the same for me!!
I have the Ralco Short Shifter installed and from what i heard there's noticeable vibration and noise, but it was never this loud before with original clutch & flywheel setup.

I think the bad mpg is just me driving it hard. This next full tank of gas i've been driving very conservatively and shifting @ 3k rpm. It helps that it's raining so it gives me a reason to drive slower. We'll see how my mpgs turn out the next i have to fill up.

Could you expand on this a little? What notch? The notch to hold the boot on the slave cylinder or a notch on the clutch release fork?

Poster, I mean poster. What have I done?

I've purchased AASCO flywheel (11lbs), ACT 6 puck & ACT Heavy Duty Pressure plate, was chattered alot. And change it with oem clutch, the chattered completely gone. Only whining noise came out of PLP shifter. Price wise, maybe MK4 setup more reasonable.

as you know i've had both. JUN is too light and causes some chatter. the supra is quieter and still revs freer.

Were you running Jun flywheel with oem clutch or racing clutch as ACT?

I've driven "light weight" flywheels too, and I like this setup better.

I thought ACT street clutch same as OE sprung clutch, wont make chattered.
Let me try to list it, correct me if am wrong.
Chado:
Jun flywheel + ACT street clutch = Chattered
MK4 NA flywheel + ACT street clutch = Not chattered
My previous setup:
AASCO flywheel + ACT 6 puck heavy duty clutch = Chattered
AASCO flywheel + OE clutch = Not chattered

OE clutch isn't sprung. but yes you are correct above. the chattering was at low rpms/high gear and with the A/C on at idle
