Well I got the thing out, what a PIA. Had to remove all the underbracing stuff to drop the headers out the bottom of the car. Which is hard to do in a driveway with no lift lol.

Well it's all out, but only 3 of the O2 sensors will come out (had to use a huge pipe from a hammock as an extension on the wrench lmao) but one of the 4 is frozen. Guess I'll be buying another.

I do have a question though, the stock header bolts to the body right at the bottom, using an arm with 2 bolts on it. How is the new header supported here? I had to grind off all the bolts between the headers and y pipe.

lol, how is the header supposed to come out? I was going to try and pull it out the top, but gravity dictated otherwise lol.

Thanks for the clarification about the brace, so I guess all the weight is just right on the head.

And there are a bunch of heatshields, those aren't needed on the new header?

Dezod header and most perf headers weight a lot less then oem. No the stock header shields from oe header are not needed.

Thanks again. Yeah when I was installing, I realized how much lighter the new one is, like half the weight!

The new header is in and good, tomorrow will be the test. I screwed up big time almost, since I broke one of the v-band clamps, the bolt snapped. But I was able to quickly replace the bolt, so all was good.

First impressions, are that this thing is LOUD, I'm gonna have to put my muffler back on lol.

Yeah I did haha, just headers and y pipe, still jacked up in the air. Yeah it was super loud, it even gave an RPM surge when it started up. It's easily twice as loud now, but I'm too beat to put my old catback back on.
