Yes and no, it all depends what type of differential you want. Torsen (is300, BRZ/FR-S) are best for auto cross and daily driving, where Clutch type (MKIII) is better for drifting and really locking the rear end down together. Clutch wears out eventually, where a Torsen theoretically doesn't. It was going to cost me almost double to do an MKIII swap over the BRZ, so I went with the BRZ. So much better than an open and I have no regrets.

Thank you for being the Guinea pig.

If it fits this will be a nice dress up for the car, maybe even a little bit of function.

Has anyone tried a brz/frs diff with some of the crazier gear options? Like 5.06? I think there was an oem 4.7 something like that to wasnt there?

Does this mean that if I buy an IS (planning to this month) and put a KAAZ diff in it, I could put that diff into an FR-S when I buy one next year (planning to trade IS for it)?

Because that would be scrumtrulescent.

You need some washers to act as a spacer to get the frs/brz diff to work in the is3, havn't done it, but looked simple enough. So if the frs is your end goal, why not get an actual frs diff and pumpkin and modify that for ease of install later down the road when you get your frs/brz?

Honestly though, what do people like so much about the frs/brz? I've driven one and they only thing i really liked was the seats REALLY hug you.
