Over 31 MPG IS300 !?!?!?!
Okay the first thing everyone is going to do, is doubt this and probably offer their .02 on how I cannot be correct.
I went on a FULL road trip from Santa Monica, (first filling up & zeroing out the trip Odometer) to Thousand Oaks, back to Santa Monica, then back to Thousand Oaks and back to Santa Monica again. lol I was running errands... well, bringing my car in for service. I then took PCH all the way to Malibu from Santa Monica and then came back home. This was over 5 days.
That's 90 miles round trip X 2 = 180. (santa monica -> thousand oaks), Round trip from Santa Monica to deep inside Malibu-> (52 miles)
When I went to fill up today, my car was only 1/2 full but I had driven 247.3 miles according to the trip odometer. The car took in 7.86 gallons of Prem. until it shut off @ full!
I had the cruise control set at 75-85 depending on where I was on the 101 and then set between 50-55 on PCH.
Do the math 31.4 MPG Whoever said the IS is a gas guzzler? Just proved them wrong! Now, for those of you sinister ones, lets hear your suggestions as to HOW I'm wrong. My number will now be used against those who claim the 3-series to get "such better gas mileage" btw. I usually avg. about 23mpg in stop + go coast road traffic.
Just got my 30K service done on my first trip to T.Oaks $525.80
