Visit HKS and give jdmaltz a run for his money!
That HKS turbo looks sweet, but i dont think i will be able to do any performance mods for a while, my wife was perfectly happy with her Vitz, not sure i can convince her i need a FASTER car than it is stock.
Just planning on some minor asthetic stuff, mostly interior probably (OEM leather seat covers.. rear monitor for the navi, OEM ignition button maybe)... and for the exterior maybe a chrome antenna and pipe to match the grill and wheels. What do you guys think?

i want stock altezza wheels and if you are looking to upgrade shipping from oki to mainland shouldnt be that bad...let me know and i will tell you what wheels i have
JDMALTZ> mmm think i m gonna stay stock for at least awhile. I actually really like the stock rims. I think mine are the chrome finish ones... Anyways the rims were one of the first things i noticed when i saw an IS300 for the first time way way way back when they first came out. And i really thought they suited the rest of the car perfectly. But if i ever decide to upgrade, i ll give you a holler.
They are listed at that website. Has Altezza embroidered in that pic, but in the dealer brochure it was a diff pic and didnt have the embroidery. Includes both front seats and rear seat covers. Price on that site is 780 $ US i think. But from the dealer here it is only about 600 or less.... Not sure about install. But they are compatible with the SRS airbags unlike aftermarket leather seat covers.
I don't know about japan but most alll the aftermarket leather covers sold in the U.S have cut outs for the side airbags. Maybe in Japan earlier years had no side SRS??? I am getting my custom covers from leatherseats.com. black/with blue suede inserts and blue suede piping. pricing was about around the same..Thats a good price for all 4 seats.. I thought a dealer option like that would rip you a new one.. factory covers are about 1200 US per seat. As for install you need hog ring tool and hog rings which are like giant metal staples..you hook onto the frame..

hmmm well the after market covers I looked into where not compatible with SRS, it said it right in the brochure... The dealer told me it was that much for the front seats and back... unless he doesnt know what he is talking about.... I ll be pissed if i order them and just one seat comes in!!!! LOL
Oh does that leatherseats.com do leather thingys for just the doors?
The IS kit from leatherseats.com includes material for the doors..they basically just throw that in ..I think that part is actually vinyl ..but I am getting suede for the doors and shift boot made in suede. I posted up about a month ago for the group buy at clublexus.com..Its over now..but they do regular group buys on that board..
scroll through this link and you can get an idea of pricing and the quality.
it maybe an option for you..let us know if the 780 was for all 4 seats. Cause that would be a really good deal. Leatherseats is 699 for all four seats in one color without options or group buy. Oh I just noticed that pic of the cover has no side airbag cutouts. Now I remember seeing that leather seat option from the altezza options page..that doesn't exist anymore..that cover was shown to upgrade the cloth seats..they also had a option with red inserts on a sportier cloth seat and red cloth door inserts

Thanks for the info!
The current options brochure that was given to me by the dealer has a different pic of the leather seat covers then the one shown on japanparts.com. Not sure if they are the same. It also says in the description that use of any cover other than this one will not allow proper functioning of the SRS airbags. That might just be BS though...
I ll probably order the covers sometime in the next couple weeks and i ll let you know about them.
