hey whats up guys i was just wondering what some of u do. i washed my car today and had to scrap off like over 300 bugs. i am not even kidding about the amount... someone told me to wax it. doese this work?... i dont know if its the colore white that attractes them or the lights.... i think it might be the speed but who knows... just wondering if anyone knows how to get them out for good... if it is wax anyone know any quick and easy one i can use thanx.... i live in nj by the way and have to go threw the turnpick to ny every day i think that is where i go killing the bugs...
ps. i think we nedd one of those abc spell check buttons on here i know i could use it lol
find a nice big 18-wheeler or SUV and tailgate it all the way to work :D
I have a crystal white too... to get the bugs out I use armor all cleaning wipes... ( not the armorall for plastic!) and it works nice. I really don't think there's a way out of it... don't think if xpel or those 3m clear plastic covers for the front fenders would help... you'd still need to kleen it
after i wash my car i always wax the front bumper (if not, the whole car).. i find also that if you drive under 65mph you hit less bugs than at over 70mph..
at least, so far.. that speed has worked for me..
(tho i must say its not very fun)
yep, just slap a coat of wax on the bumper everytime you wax. They come right off if there is a nice coat of wax on the bumper...
dude, do you really think the color of the car has anything to do with the bugs on your bumper???? If your drving 70mph, they arent like, "oh look, a white one" and fly towards you...
Spray some PAM dry fry vegetable oil on the bumper. Bugs won't stick, ans washes right off. I use that when I go on long trips in summer. Just be careful not to get it on any parts that get hot though or your car will smell like popcorn.
well on that part of the park way i usally go 90+... i saied something about the colore because with my green mazda and also a blue rav 4 i dont have the same problem....
so it looks like wax will make it easier to get it off...
i was wondering if there was something u could apply that when the splat they just slide off but i guess not. thanx guys

Hehe...park your car in the garage? that's the 100% guaranteed way not to get bugs on there. :D
If you're careful, a front end mask does the trick. Just put it on during yoru trips..and remove regularly when you're not using it. But a nice coat of wax will help as well.
