Wow nice pics ... i would love to have a 350 right now. You make me very jealous!
Do u leave it in auto mode or use the paddle shifters? Or are they about like the is300's eshift buttons--kind of useless?
Hey thanks a bunch. Don't be jealous, I bet you'll get the car you want soon!
To answer your question, I DO enjoy the paddle shifters, as was mentioned, I use them often to brake the car, without using up the pads! They just have such a great feel to them, sure they could be more immediate, ala BMW's SMG. But they're a close 2nd, I'd say.
Congrats.!! I got the same color combo. Man tell them all, the black is hot as hell when it is clean isn't.
PS, we don't have to give the negative folks to much energy here. It adds to their fire.
Thanks man, yeah, while black looks the worst when it's dirty, I think it more than makes up for it when it's clean!
Good call on adding to the fire. But I don't mind people who express their opinion, I just mind people who don't have any regard for courtesy. That's all.
BTW, thanks to everyone else for your comments, info. and encouragement here over the years. I'm really happy to be a member here and now elated that I actually can share my experiences about this car with you!
I'm so glad to finally see some good pics of a black is350. I just bought a black base model w/ sport package only, on Thursday. It won't be as sweet a ride as yours but it will look just like it on the outside. I haven't seen a black one yet and mine isn't here yet - so I can sit here and look at your pics and know that I made the right color choice.
Having traded in a beetle for this car. You can imagine how excited I am
I don't think anyone here is asking anyone to like a car. But I would also argue there is a polite way of saying you hate a car. Perhaps it shouldn't have taken all these replies for you to get you to admit you like the steering wheel. If you despise the IS250/350 so much perhaps you should start a thread of your own, instead of dissing the car in a thread that I've actually been waiting since June of 2000 to be able to post. Again, I'm all about free speech, but IMO there is a proper way and format in which to voice it. That said, thanks for the congrats btw!
well said. however, people arent polite to me when they dont like something i have, so i have just gotten used to posting the same way everyone else does

enjoy your investment. safe driving
There's a difference between having a differing opinion... and being an asshole.

Congrats! and happy driving
Hey there, I can TOTALLY relate about the pics, they go a long way, I hadn't seen any black onyx on black pics for a while before getting this car. So I'm happy to help! Your car will ACTUALLY look better than mine if you're getting the sport package, as it'll be about a half inch lower! I'm happy for ya man, while VW does make some good stuff, your IS will BLOW YOU AWAY! Post pics when you get it!
Congrats man, is it me or is it that the NEW IS's seems a lot happier then the old ones?

oops, my mistake. I didn't get the sports package. It's not even available here. I got the base model with the 18" wheels. It's either that or two different lux packages. That's all the choices we have here in TX. This es that they put me in is a barge. Can't wait for my new baby
I know your loving it
