Team Lexus will field an entry in the 2004 U.S. Drift Series."We've been successful in Grand Am and other forms of racing," said driver/owner Chuck Goldsborough, "and our initial foray last season made us think about doing the U.S. Drift series this year. This form of motorsports appeals to the audience Lexus wants to reach, and we want to be there. We've combined elements from our Sport Touring cars with parts made specifically for drifting, so we're anxious to get on track. Drifting is one of the most exciting forms of motorsports today."
Here's the schedule for the 2004 U.S. Drift series:
March 7: California Speedway/Los Angeles, CA
June 6: Old Dominion Speedway/Washington DC
July 10: Summit Point Raceway, Hyper Fest weekend/Washington DC
July 24-25: Tire Rack Proving Grounds/South Bend, IN
August 28: Lowes Speedway/Charlotte, NC
September 11: Sears Point Raceway/San Francisco, CA
October 1-3: Virginia International Raceway/ Danville, VA
November 6-7: Las Vegas Speedway/Las Vegas, NV
