2007 Pricing

Yesterday my cousin purchased a 2007 IS250 RWD with Nav/Premuim Package with additional options and preferred accessory package. MSRP was 37647.00 vs. 36504.00 for the 2006. The only obvious difference that I can see in the package is the Xenons headlights w/ AFS between the 2006 and 2007. Seems like a pretty steep price increase just for HID lights and a few other little things! He ended up getting it for 34K (before taxes, title, license etc.).

Thanks. It seems odd to me that if you want an early '07 you take a lot of risk that you don't have to take if you don't mind waiting until a Dec. delivery. I mean it was sad how little the dealers know. This site is so far ahead of the people that do it for a living. I would think that if they are taking pre-orders in the summer that they would at least advise you on what is available. You could end up with totally different options or something missing from a package that is really important to you. Fortunately the cars are so hot that they will sell whatever comes in. I was pretty firm on what I wanted and that's why I waited to order an '07. Enough rambling. Thanks for the info.

Very, very disappointed they did not offer the VSC/VDIM defeat button in the '06s. Pretty sad we have to do the "brake dance" to actually have a car that can be managed effectively.

Please tell us they will retrofit this on '06s with some sort of module we can purchase, as aftermarket manfacturers are already begining to develop them.

Webmaster, thank you for the post.
