2014 IS250 F Sport - Iphone issues. Anyone else?

After the recent IPHONE 5 IOS 7 update, my phone while connected via USB in the 2014 IS250 F sport, will play music for a few seconds and then stop.
I have also tried the connection via Bluetooth and the same issue exists; after a minute or so the music pauses on its own.

If I disconnect the USB cable then the music will play without this issue through the Bluetooth, but then you cant charge your phone.

I have tried a new cable, I have tried the phone on the usb connection in my 2012 Honda civic and it works fine.

Is anyone else having this issue?? Prior to this update both connections worked simultaneously without the problem.

I would say iOS 7 is the issue. Newer updates always has problems...

I would tend to agree, however it works in a 2012 Honda civic.

I've had issues were when connected by blue tooth and listening to Pandora. (What a friggen chore to get all this connected w/ the aps and what not)
I'll be listening to pandora, recieve a call, and when it goes back to pandora it shows its still streaming but no audio. It's clunky and my fiances CX5 is 10 times easier and more intutive-

change name and re-pair the phone

I have seen some issues with iOS7 and apostrophes in the phone name (e.g., Rob's iPhone). Change your phone name to just letters/numbers, delete the pairing from your car and try re-pairing the phone.

Certain characters may not be supported. Any of that apply to your phone? Maybe we can try and narrow it down.

I have renamed to the phone so that there are no special character's.
I have removed both the audio profile and the phone profile form both the car and the car profile form the phone, reconnected and the same problem exists; while plugged into the USB, the audio will pause after 1 minute. When you resume, the audio just keeps pausing on its own.

It happens with both Bluetooth or USB audio sources, but only is the USB is connected. If you disconnect from USB, Bluetooth audio plays but then you cannot charge the phone.
I have also replaced the usb cable with a Apple lightning cable, which did not fix the problem.

Is anyone else experiencing this with the IPhone 5 and 7.xx OS?? IT worked fine up until I upgraded to 7.xx.

I can't understand that why peoples are prefering iphone operating system. Its not fit for cell phones. That is the reason iPhone are getting down too much rapidly in the market and android operating system are getting clients too much. Samsung cell phone are example for great market as samsung are supporting android operating system we can get Samsung Galaxy any model all are great.

Nothing to do with the iOS. Lexus Nav (I'm referring to RX here) and its Apps simply suck. I got fed up trying to get Pandora to work consistently in the RX. Same goes for Bluetooth audio.

Problem:
ios 5 + car + dock + bt = problem
I've identified it to be a iPhone iOS7+ related issues more so than the car's navi itself.

Cars I've tried:
-2010 Nissan 370z Sport Touring package w/ Navi
-2010 Toyota Prius w/ Nav
-2014 Lexus IS350 F-Sport and both of these cars have the same problem.

My 370z & Prius have been connecting with bluetooth (for audio) and thru its USB docking cable for charging and it's been working perfect for me since 2010.
Ever since I upgrade my iPhone 4s to iOS 7 (Now I have a iPhone 5s) it's been really buggy with not connecting to the phone. Like if I'm on the Bluetooth channel on my audio system, the iPhone would still be sending thru its audio thru the Docking USB cable.

One might ask, "why would I still want to use Bluetooth for Audio"? Well, iPhone APPS like Spotify, Pandora don't work with most car's audio system when you connect it thru the car's iPhone USB port. Especially with my 2014 Lexus IS350's Lexus Enform (iHeartRadio, Pandora, etc) Issue is very apparent.

Solution:
-A simple solution would be to not connect your iPhone to the car's USB port rather an external USB charger to charger your phone if you are to stream music.

-If you like to deal with the B.S. then you can still plug it in, but you'll have to play around with iPhone's airplay audio output setting.

But I hate doing this because sometimes this just does not work and it's frustrating. I would flip through the Audio source on my car's radio and the car's audio becomes buggy and would play my iPhone music via Bluetooth when it's in my Nissan's Built in "Jukebox" or "Radio" source mode. Sometimes the Bluetooth just won't work until you turn off the car/iphone. It's really lame if you got in your car and started going on the freeway for a 1hr drive in traffic to work and need to turn off your car to fix this just so you can listen to your iphone. (Note: Sometimes turning off the car won't do the trick, and also this connectivity issue could arise anytime in the middle of the song)

-Last solution that i'm excited to try out. There is an app in the app store called A2DPblocker that can help you with a temporary fix. The app "blocks the Bluetooth Stereo Profile (A2DP - Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) from connecting on a Bluetooth enabled iOS device without completely disabling the Bluetooth hardware, which enables the iOS device to continue to perform other Bluetooth functions like make calls over Bluetooth and wirelessly control the iPod with a paired AVRCP enabled Bluetooth accessory."

Update

Hi all,

Just wanted to share what I have found out. After speaking to the technology specialist at Lexus he has confirmed that part of the reason the iPhone is being disconnected is due to the lock code. If you remove your lock code on your iPhone you will not be disconnected anymore due to that. This was very upsetting to me as I'm sure we all want some security on our phones and having to set and reset the code is a pain. So for me that solved part of the problem. However now that I my phone does not lose connection every minute due to the lock it will still drop intermittently. I'm not positive at this point, but I feel like when I go into a bad reception area it happens more frequently. When this happens I lose connection whether I'm playing music directly or bluetooth.

I don't believe it's a "solution" to just not use the USB connection. We paid good money for these cars and this should work. Being a software developer this is not just because of the OS. I just traded in my BMW and I did not have this issue. Nor should this thread turn into an Android vs iPhone debate. Both should work and both are great systems.
