R154 Trans Mount Modification

Hi people today I was able to get my auto transmission mount modified to work with the R154 mount.

I drilled a hole and ran the r154 center mounting bolt through the mount.

I also had to cut down the head of the bolt with my cut off wheel. I accidentally got a little too close to the trans mount and took a little bit of meat out of it. Oh well weight reduction bro

Also Here is a pic of the r154 all mated up and ready to drop back in! I should have the engine in later on this week, then I can start routing my intercooler piping!

Got my clutch master cylinder installed today.
I need to get rid of this sub wiring, I don't even have one anymore.

Looks Like you got a pretty good build going! I'm having a shop in Houston install a CXRacing Turbo kit, not too expensive for install and labor and parts come with a 1 year warranty. I would love to do it myself, but being the first time I've ever dealt with anything boosted I don't mind the warranty! I'll start my own build thread here once it comes back from the shop!

I think the essence of this build is to no be scared and just go out and do it! If you want to do something to your car it is you yourself that is holding you back. Drilling holes in your firewall is scary up until the hole is drilled and then its like "hey I could do that again!"

The worst that happens is you mess up and learn from it. I'll be back later with the clutch pedal fully installed!

Clutch pedal is in!
I really need to order a manual break pedal pad and cut down the auto break pedal.

Sorry for the blurry photo.

The only tricky thing about installing the pedal assembly is taking out a little bracket that holds a wiring loom under neath the dash. You use the that 12mm hole for the top mounting point. Look at the picture below.

Pulled out the automatic shifter bits tonight. I am interested to see how my trans will fit.

Engine is in!

I got the engine back into the car tonight! I need to buy some longer bolts tomorrow from fastenal to get the trans mount up into position.

Also Here is how the Z shaped cube shifter is going to sit. It lines up perfectly no cutting required!

Turbo mocked up

Here are some shots of the engine bay with the turbo mocked up. I also got the R154 mounted into position and sadly there will be some cutting involved oh well.

I hope to start routing intercooler piping later on this week!

Its an older xs power manifold. The turbo is a Holset HX35 off of a CASE combine with 2 hours of run time lol.
