Got the valve covers on with the new black allen bolts. I like it a lot. Put the megan mounts and brackets back on. Piece by piece here we go!

Picked up my A/C compressor and a few straggling parts from my step dads ( support brace, oil filter housing, something that goes behind the water pump lol) gonna prep and paint. My step dad mentioned to be careful and not get any moister or particles in the compressor ports or it will burn out. With that said I may just get a new compressor cause mine is pretty dirty.

I would replace the condenser before the compressor. The compressor is lubed with freon and is probably as dirty as an engine. It'll also pump most crud out. Dirt mostly collects in the tiny ports of the condenser. If those get clogged will overwork even a new compressor.

Definitely paint your compressor but save some cash and replace the condenser first!

Ill check into that. My A/C worked just fine but my stepdad got me over worried probably. maybe I can find some plugs while I clean it/degrease it

Other (hopefully the last) stuff painted

I may put some things on the block tomorrow or just enjoy my Labor Day. We'll see.....

I kinda feel like: Ive gone this far with the painting, why not do it all?
I also feel like: Ive gone off the deep end and this has become an obsession.

I just don't want that "one thing" to stick out. lol

yeah of course, why not? Just as long as it lasts, and doesn't chip off or something and look even worse

That will be the true test. I think installation and getting the motor back in the bay will be the biggest factors for paint survival. I am confident due to the fact that I will be the one handling the install, and not some hourly employee who could care less. Regardless, Im balls deep in this painting process, and there is no turning back.

yeah maybe the other one will be a better fit. My car is blacked out as well as all the motor minus the yellow. But does that qualify for a true "blackout" haha
