Yeah I do as much as I can myself. I can't see paying someone to do that I can do myself. Less money spent on labor means more parts for the car.

And thanks for the welcome. Started reading your daily thread earlier but didn't get to the end.

Mine isn't either. Just a bunch of maintenance stuff right now for the most part. Not very interesting at all.

Small little update. I haven't worked on the lights anymore to try and clear up the first headlight I did, just been to busy to mess with it lately. I am waiting on my shipment from Amsterdam before I install the lights. Hopefully it will be pretty soon.

I had picked these up a while ago to send them to my friend in Amsterdam but this was just a spare set for him cause I had already sent him 1 set before. But I got these LS400 calipers from the local pull a part for about $40. So these will make their way on to the car at some point. They will get a good cleaning and some paint to make them fresh again.

Finally got around to doing a little work.

Installed my refreshed headlights.

I left the fogs off for now as they are being refreshed. I installed the headlights on Monday and started on the fog lights afterwards which are now ready to be reinstalled.

Also a package of my goods are on the way from the Netherlands so I should have that some time this coming week. He still has a few parts that will be sent at a later time since they are larger items and I am working on a few more purchases as well. I will be refreshing the stock headlights at some point as well. They will remain OEM but will be cleaning up the lens and reclearing them to keep as backups.

I started with 600, then went to 800, then wet sanded with 1000 and 2500. I let them air dry over night then used wax and grease remover to make sure there was no oil on them. I started with 2-3 light dust coats of clear, then 3 heavier coats. I let the paint cure for 24 hours then wet sanded with 1000 and 2500 again followed by a polish. I used automotive clear in a spray can. I can post a pic of the clear I used later on if you want to know.

Update on a few things.

I picked up a full size spare from the junkyard since mine has a 16in spare. Has a little rash but its not as bad as it looks.

Started stripping the trunk in prep of getting it painted.

Started working on cleaning the original headlights to have as spares and well..........

There was a lip kit that was removed from the car before I purchased it and apparently it was painted on the car and very little prep work was done. There has been no clear put on them yet but they are looking much better. I am still working on one of them.

Car has hit 140k.

Got a package in from my friend in Amsterdam last Monday so I post up what was in there and the other little project I am working on as well.

Quick update again. Got my package in for Amsterdam so I figured I would post what it contained so here we go.

The package..

First up is a sat nav housing, its not the 7in but it was a good price.

Next was the manual tunnel piece

And a set of dark chrome OEM tail lights

And a set of fog lights....these are for a future update

Removed the factory screen this will be updated at a later time as well

Just stocking up on parts but no real movement on the car right now. Thanks for looking.

nah i didnt feel the need to go to jail. haha

So to keep up with my weekly Saturday updates I have a very small one but its an update so I figured I post it up anyway.

One of the fog lights was damaged so I picked up another to replace it since the USDM and EDM fog lights are different, like I said this will become clear in the future update that I am waiting on to have shipped over. Also got the pigtail for the nav housing.

Separated the broken fog light to clean up the lens and paint the bezel to match the headlights. The projector mount tabs were broken and just flopping around in the foglight.

The replacement fog lens needs some sanding and a clear coat as well.

That's it for the update again it was small but trying to keep a weekly update schedule and post things as they happen.

Thanks for looking.
