We had issue with oil pressure using Altezza power steering pump with LHD IS200 steering gear box.

For sure I can help... I haved a loooooot if issues and I burned 3 Steering Pump in just 1 week when I did the swap.

1. we made some modifications to de stock oil deposit.(the filter inside the oil deposit was removed)
2. new hoses (presure and return) relocated the route looking for less heat from the exaust.
3. on the presure hose we added a filter for presure compensation and more oil filtering
4. I'm using the steering pump from 2jz-GE (is300) that fits perfectly with a little modificarion to the pulley. (using in reverse if I remember.)

after that (11 monts ago) no more problems, and believe me, I'm a freaking crazy driving side way daily... hahaha

I'm outside my country for 3 more days, traveling a lot with limited acces to internet, but I'll do mi best to help you.

I guess 2JZ power pump is the key to this issue.

Finally got the 1st place on my class from last weekend!

The car ran perfectly fine except it is running lean between 7,000-8,000rpm.
Because I was running stock fuel pump(for 155hp car), I have upgraded to S2000 fuel pump after the race. Gotta check how it runs now.

fantastic job on first place, the fact you guys have gotten steering pump issues is alarming however only seems to be the case since you are running LHD, I've had some friends run OEM IS200 steering racks (apparently identical to RS200) with the altezza pump and seems to run perfectly fine without issues. fingers crossed mine is relatively straight forward.

motorklasse are you still running standard front brakes?

Yes, the brake system is stock except upgraded pads/fluids/SS lines.

Managed to get 3rd place(got 1.5 sec penalty because I got the 1st place last time) on last race day.

WOW! I love it. I am beginning this exact build here in NYC. (LHD IS300 with a 3SGE Beams engine)

I did have a few questions:

#1 - What throttle cable did you end up using for the LHD pedal assembly and the 3SGE? Was it a toyota part number or was it custom?

#2 - I also have an HKS 4-1 Race header for the 3SGE, did your stock manifold touch the steering shaft? I will have to test fit my header for clearance and modify it as necessary.

#3 - Were you able to plug the 3S-GE motor harness into the IS200 body/fuse harness? I assume there will be some differences, but I hope that because the motor was in fact an option somewhere (just not LHD + 3SGE) that many things will plug in if we extend wires.

I am also hoping to make 200-220rwhp to run Time Attack time trials here.
