Last time I posted on here some posts went missing... Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Anyway, I changed the oil and started it up today for a nice winter warmup just to keep things moving.

Took a video of the valve train sound because of some other discussions on whatthe's page. These are just 264 cams. I tried to take a video of the exhaust at the tailpipe but no sound came through. I'll have to charge up my camera and do it another day.

Where did you source the CF spark plug cover from?

Right here bro: Garage Whifbitz Carbon 2JZ Spark Plug Cover VVTi - Garage Whifbitz

They make a non-VVT-i version too along with the other timing covers. Took a couple months to arrive.

Dang, how much was shipping coming from the UK? Looks like speedforsale has them. I've never ordered from them before though.

Haha speedforsale is actually who I ordered from but they sourced the part through whifbitz. They are a third party supplier and don't actually keep them on hand. Great customer service though!

My total was close to $350.

Ohio weather can be 70 today and 20 tomorrow this time of year

It was mid 40's that day. Sitting for a month, started right up and boosted like I was on a roller coaster. Should have taken a video.

Can't wait to get the tiny bugs out and back on the dyno. It's ready!

Yeah, it takes time! Way more than I expected as well.

After installing the harness I was having an issue with the Tach randomly not working coupled with the ABS, Rear Lamps and Oil Level warning lights coming on.

I basically had someone sit inside the car while I wiggled wires and narrowed it down to a loose connection. I was so happy to have found it! I cut away the glue or whatever Tweak'd used on the plug ends, soldered the connection and solved the problem:

I was holding off on building a box for this until the issue was solved. Now I get to

It's back in the garage for now. The Sportcross took way longer in the suspension shop and they had to keep it over the weekend so I took the sedan out of storage for a weekend trip. And now it's in the garage again

Anyone who has removed their ECU box knows what this thing is:

I cut it up to help square off the plugs on the harness:

Just mock up for now but getting ready to build a box to house the connections since the Tach issue is solved
