Poll: Turbo Details

We had a brief pow-wow today about the upcoming IS300 parts and the turbo side of things was a great discussion. We love this application and feel it should be marketed the same way it was from Lexus with a certain degree of superiority over the norm. In keeping with this mantra, we have some turbo options to play with....What would you like to see from us?

Please make the WG flange the Tial V44 / Precision 46 V Band style flange. No more HKS knock off 4 bolt, or 2 bolt too small wastegate flanges.

In 5 years I will have the worlds fastest IS300... because everyone else will have parted out and bought an M3.

Standard T4 and maybe a tiny cast iron Manifold, for better fitment with ABS Lines and fast spool up.

Preferably T4, it would help with clearance when building a manifold to clear the ABS without relocating it. However if the Tial is cheaper and has clearance then that would be okay to.

Build it as cheap as you can without skimping on the quality.

Find the Ideal turbo spec's you would like to run then compare it to T3 vs T4 vs TiAL price vs performance. Keeping the prices down on the kit in any shape or form could help you make more profit by being more affordable.

You are going to have a lot of people coming into the IS300 market, its liek they are the new Honda Civic, I see so many around!

divided T4's. Intercooler and piping kit would be sweet. Or maybe a FFIM?

Please keep in mind this will made right and will offer quality this community is not used to seeing. Many of you have seen our work and can vouch for it as it runs with some of the best in the industry. This mantra will continue to be followed and we are leaning more toward a quality turbo manifold for the app with excellent clearance on all components AND offer a price tag far less than Full Race or something of likes.

A manifold that doesnt require relocating the ABS module would be terrific. Also a possible heat shield to protect the ABS module would be nice too

Some things I'd like to see out of a turbo kit, that I rarely see for our cars and also because I tend to focus on lower-mid range and total area under the curve rather than top end numbers:

-mid sized turbo(something like a 32r or 35r from garrett or comparable) that will have almost zero lag and support a healthy powerband up to around 400whp

-Recirculating BOV(helps spool sooner and keeps noises that attract the wrong kind of attention down)

-Log style manifold(again promotes better spool rather than top end like most seem to focus on)

-V-BANDs! LOL

pretty much all I can think of

'01 ASP 17x8 ssr comps 225/45 all around, LS400 bbk, FX-R 3.0 projector retrofit in JDM headlights, Modellista front, c-speed sides/rear, Rigid Bars, Hotchkis sways(stiff), Konis & eibach prokit, PLP intake tube & K&N filter, JIC Ti axleback w/ custom midpipe...more to come ;)

An intercooler set-up that will fit with a stock bumper and un-cut rebar.

and nothing that requires welding either. The bane of my existence is needing a welder in order to install a "complete kit" (including the exhaust end)

Top sekrat ninja edit: broketuner thinks like me. I don't care about top end power and peak hp. Give me a kit that is a big fat huge area under the curve increase. this is what makes me happiest.
