Could any of you help me with this. Seems to be doing fine with the coils except when I go past 5500rpm it sounds like a machine gun. I am gapped at .025 on bkr7e and running dwell at 3.1. I am not sure of this is actually break up cause this or not. I have checked timing sync at 2k rpms but how do you check it up high just Rev it up and check?

Any help would be great on this before I setup to have tuned finished on dyno.

Thanks,
Dereck

Dezod,

Thank you for the advice. I have checked it at 4k rpms and still stays synced. So I went back to the drawing board and tried something and sure enough it works and revs fine now. But I do see some loss in lower end power and surely there is more to this table then what I made it but at-least lets me know its something in the tuning.

The first screen shot below is how it was with the AEM wizard setting the LQ9 except for on the right hand side the 3.1 I had set that as seen other people using that.

Dezod do you have any advice if this would work? I have read the AEM guide and instructions but it doesn't go into much detail how to set these. My guess is that the coils were being over driven alot because once I moved it down is when it seemed to start liking it.

Might want to give Beau at AEM Tech a quick email about this. He is an excellent resource when it comes to oddities like this.

Hi there,
I would like to do the same with my 30-1050 AEM Dezod Box!
How to do? Does it have 6 seperate coil outputs, or would I have to go with wasted spark?
I have to change my ignition coils into something more powerful.
