Putting a few EMSs on the shelf for faster turn time here. They will be available for ordering early next week (in stock).

We already have a few 01 and 02-05 harnesses made and on the shelf. Just waiting for our AEM order to arrive.

FIC Issues?

Technically I'm in the wrong place, since I have a GS and it's on AEM FIC.
BUT since I'm buying a P'n'P V2 from Dezod in October, I thought this is directly related.

Basic info:
02 gs300
Built 2jz ge vvti (9.25:1)
BW s366
Bosch 660cc injectors (922 ms dead time)
MAF in charge pipe.
AEM FIC with PnP boomslang harness
Still A650

Problem:
Car won't idle at all. No matter how much I played with fuel and maf maps. Idle stays around 350-400 rpm and obviously very rough. It's also missing pretty bad (maybe since I fouled out the plugs on the way home from the shop). Even tried cutting the coolant wire to keep it in open loop warm up mode - still won't idle. Since I can't get it idling, I haven't done pretty much any other tuning.

Question:
1) Will the V2 take control of idle or is that still on stock ECU? I have done some reading and I know you have to leave the maf in the system for DBW to be happy. Really don't want to drop $2k to deal with the same issues.

2) The base map that comes with the V2, how drivable is it? One of the best tuners I know (Alpha from IP) is about 2 hours away from me, and I was thinking if I need to get a tow or would an easy off-boost cruise be okay?

3) If I were to go manual down the road, how much needs to be changed in terms of wiring? Or just hack the MAF off and go with a big throttle body and a ffim?

Thank you so much, sorry if questions are simple, I'm pretty much a noob.

Hi,

is it OK to use this closed position in the red circle for AEM EMS V2 3.5bar MAP Sensor?

My Tuner told me, i should avoid silicone hoses if possible, so did anyone here uses this spot for perfect MAP Signal?

I will check the thread size, but i think its 1/8" -27 NPT - the same as the Sensor itself!

Thanks for help!

I can't see that being a problem being off of the intake manifold and all. It will see both vacuum and boost. It's a little biased being on one side almost one runner, so it's not ideal, but it will work if all else fails.

I am looking to order soon. Any group buys showing up on these? Also the links posted for install appear to be down.

We have removed the links, and have
included the files to be given with the order.
It is mostly plug and play now, with minimal
instruction required.

Hi there. Should the included MAP and IAT Sensor read 5v when they are both unplugged? The bas .cal was uploaded and the set up wizards ran, and both iat sensor and map are configured in aemtuner, but with the sensors plugged in or unplugged, aemtuner still shows both read a 5v.

Without knowing more information about the AEM or your box, I can say that you need to double check your grounds. You also need to make sure that the car is on or in "accessories 2" to get real time values from your sensors.

They should read 5V when unplugged, but should have readings when on and plugged in.

I've sent two e-mails to sales@dezod.com without a reply..

Maybe I'll just ask it here and maybe some one will reply. Can you make the AEM work with 2JZ-GTE VVTi?
