Awesome!! Those bars are so annoying. They vibrate with subs, they get in the way when you want to put stuff in your trunk, and they limit you extremely when you are doing a custom/fiberglassed sound system.

any chance of a non obtrusive hinge? like not huge bars that get in my way when the trunk is full? like this....

I will be trying to mount them in the same hinge area as the torsion spring , perhaps even using the same mount. There is no room to mount struts like the CTS has given the sheetmetal constraints.

It will not require drilling into the rear deck and the strut will hopeully be more compact. No bump stop and a shorter strut. The bracket will be a machined piece or a longer sheetmetal peice.
