Offset help?

So right now I have axis seven mod rims on my lexus is300. Im adding Fender flares and looking for wider rims. from what I read I need a rim with a different offset to achieve this. only problem is reading about rim offsets only confused me more. so question is what offset would be the best to have my rims be out farther? any help about offsets would help, thanks!!

The lower the number the further it sticks out. Depending on width n fender flare it's hard to determine what spec you need.
