350z Manual transmission

Okay so ive been running some engine swaps in my head and came across this on ebay, this company makes adapter plates, for various manual transmission swaps.

2JZGTE 2JZ 1JZ 2JZGE Engine to ( 350Z 6-speed Tranmission ) Adapter Plate, V160 | eBay

There is a plate for the 350z 6speed manual to 2jz and the 1uz etc. Under further research it appears the tranny is good for up to 650hp. The transmission is also dirt cheap compared to v160 and r154.

There is still more research to do, as far as which else is required to make this all work, but i wanted to also put to the my.is test. Anyone here drive a 350z, what do you think about the transmission?

On a completely separate question, i have read time and time again that the v160 does not have a separate bell housing. But when you watch the rides where they made the is430, they do have the bell housing separate from the transmission, with getrag clearly visible on the side. its around the 7:50 mark.

If anyone else is wondering how they have the Getrag "bell housing" off the transmission it's actually the whole front case. I.E. They took the transmission apart.

there is a guy on here or clublexus who tried this swap all ready the trans the trans tunnel was to narrow to fit the cd tranny even after beating with a mallet and to answer another questioned asked the bell housing on the cd does not remove the whole tranny is built in a single case that includes bellhousing and all this is plus the cd shaft is longer if im not mistaken than the v160 the adapter plate acts as a spacer as well to fix this issue for proper fitment. you can put it in a supra mkiv or mkiii and sc300 tho

The first gen 350z trannys suck but the CD009 is decent the tranny itself can hold a lot of power guys running 700-800whp+ but its the synchros that are very poor.

Yeah I looked into doing it emailed and called the guy all the time. For what it's worth if you have a sc or mkiv he seemed to be a really nice guy who knew his stuff. I ended up just going with the v160.
