Pphotos of the Final Product

Ok - here are some preliminary pictures of the Final product.

Below is a picture of the Polished Intake pipe along with optional sets of red and blue sleeves..
(Yellow is available as well)
Included will be a set of 4 brushed stainless steel clamps and step-by-step install instrustions.
I have also taken a picture of the intake interior, which is the main design of the intake that allows the air to flow in a perfectly smooth surface...

Below is a sample of the black anodized finish currently found on the Joe Z Intake for the IS300..
Once the new intakes come back from anodizing, I will post a better picture of a whole intake.
This is exactly how it will look..!!

I'm also having a sample made of an intake finish in gunmetal gray.
I think its going to look sweet!!!

Thanks

Joe Z

Hey Andy - Hope all is well!!

Actually it is.... I was trying to remove this inner filter and some how my hand popped right through...
This mesh acutally is pretty fragile along the edge...

Let me know if you want to test one out for a comparison..

yo joe, after being bored today and re-reading this thread, would you say the best way to increase performance via intake system, would be to actually re-create the entire system form the ram-aire intake to the TB, while removing any other restrictive elements in the stock filter housing?

seems like that would be the absolute best solution to me...would be cool if one could engineer a filter in a gasket-type style mid-pipe, but tha tmight be a little dangerous

Swagger is coming back to Columbia.

Finally: Intakes are NOW available in the MY.IS Store...

http://my.is/store/customer/product.php?productid=307

Hopefully by tonight or tomorrow I will have a few more pics to post up.
Like the Black Satin Finish pipes which are being anodized as we speak and several installed shots...

Just have to get my hands on a IS250 and/or IS350 here in So Cal..

Stay tuned... more to come!!

Not yet.... I found a place that would make them for me, exactly they way I have the other colors... but the minimum order is 5k sleeves...

But I still am working on it... I just have no ETA...

+1 The black silicone sleeves are a must for me too. I am also sitting back waiting while others can give us more dyno numbers. Also interested in hearing how the IS350 performs with just a drop-in filter vs drop-in filter and JOE Z intake combo.

Some more preliminary photos of the Final Product

Today I picked up the first run of the Anodized Black Pipes...

They look sweet!!!!

I also did one intake in a "Gunmetal Gray" just as a sample for now...
If there is enough interest in the gray, we can have them made easily!!!

Pictures were taken tonight, in NOT so great lighting...
But, over the weekend I will be able to take better final photos.!!

Here are 3 pics of the already available Black Intake Finish:

Here are two pics of the sample Gunmetal Gray Intake Finish:

Here is a side by side comparison just to see the differences together:

2006 IS Intakes are available to ship immediately!!!

You won't be disapointed!!!

Thanks

I'm curious, but how does this intake sound compared to stock? I know it should be much quieter than an open filter type, but with the removal of the intake resonator I would think there would be some sound differences.

PS. I like a textured black tube as well, but no big deal.

If I used powder coating as my process then maybe I would have considered it.. But then it would look like a few other intakes on the market already..

I love the anodized smooth black satin... It is very durable, low maintenance and it will last forever...
Plus, the anodized finish is on the entire intake.. Inside & Out...
That's because the pipes are actually dipped into special dye tanks during the process... Sorta of like chroming, but there is NO plating involved in anodizing..

Hi James...
There are a couple of posts in the prior pages from the members that were testing/driving with the prototype intakes for me..
They reported a nicer robust intake tone.. Definitely noticeable in the higher rpms but not intrusive what so ever...

Thanks
