Haltech Question

Ive got a question for you about the Haltechs and when you feel is the point to go from the F10x to the E6x?

Im rebuilding my car again for the i dunno like 4th time now and after sitting for a year the wife has had enough so ive decided screw it im gonna shoot for about 450 rwhp and be done with the car hopefully forever. My thought is the F10x is gonna be plenty for me but at the same time ive never heard an actual explanation from anyone of when or why to go from the F10x to the E6x so im asking the Haltech gurus here.

From what I understand you need a E6x when you are going for above 500 whp. The E6x has ignition / timing control, which is necessary to achieve those numbers.

Why did you have to do it four times? what failed the first three times?

F10X - good for upto 15PSI max boost with lowered Compresion ratio. Max power 475-500RWHP

E6X - For reliability above 15PSI. Max power - no limit!

1st rebuild was after realizing that a supercharger was a complete waste of money and i wanted a turbo.
2nd rebuild was after i sold that turbo and was ready to sell the car then decided no i want a turbo again!
3rd rebuild was because the motor was assembled like ass and i threw a rod.
this rebuild is because i drove through about 4 ft of water (I thought it was about 6 inches) and hydrolocked the motor. I sold everything off the car cause i was so pissed.

Just curious, what happens when you run over 15psi with the F10X?

You are prone to detonation that can cause some serious engine damage.
