I look on the Lexus website, put in my zip code for the '10 model and the package options has been changed!! The Luxury Package option is now called something like Luxury Value Package. And Sport Package is no longer available. I also noticed Luxury Value Package does not come with Heated/Cooled seats! but the other cheaper package does! The items they bundle together is not the same as before. Also Mark Levinson audio system is not available on that page. WTH...
If I want the Sport Package (I want sport-tuned suspension and tighter springs w/ 18" wheels and sport pedals) do I need to special order it? I have never special ordered anything through a dealership... I also want Mark Levinson. Knightshade.. or anybody has insight on this?

Yeah, your mistake was putting in your zip code.
All that does it give you the list of what cars your local dealer gets in their normal allocation, not what exists or can be built.
The X package was dropped for 2010.
Heated seats became standard so the "seat upgrade" that is in all 3 remaining packages just adds vented now rather than heated/vented
Oh and they added the word 'value' to the packages.
Other than that nothing actually changed. The package contents are
exactly the same as previous years. (there's some non-package updates, all of them to the stereo/nav features, finally bringing lexus nav into this century)
(note there is a luxury package both with and without 18" wheels, but there always has been)
Ignore that "build your own" crap and go here instead to see what actually is available on the car:
Lexus IS - Features & Pricing - Pricing & Options
Note that if your area doesn't get what you want (they don't, based on the zip code thing) you have 3 options:
1) Special order- this will get you EXACTLY what you want, but will take 2-4 months. Some dealers are also entirely incompetent at making this happen.
2) On-lot swap. If your car exists in another region your dealer can search national inventory and swap a car on his lot with one on another lot. He might try and charge for this. This is a valid cost IMHO since it DOES cost something to move the cars for the swap.
3) Allocation swap. If your car exists (as in they DO build it for some other region) but isn't currently on a dealer lot then your dealer can find another dealer who WILL be getting one in eventually and swap an allocation (incoming) car with him. He might try and charge for this but should not since there's not the same costs involved.
