Updated vibrating mirror TSIB

This problem happened in a lot of the IS250/350s. It's now happening on my '08 IS-F anyone else? Good news though! Apparently there's a fix! This is what my dealer is telling me.

Updated part numbers per TSB L-SB-0072-09

they honored my TSB for my breaks. They told me wear it out then when worn out bring it it and they replaced it for free under the tsb. no longer needed to clean the rims every 2-3 days.

Regarding brake pad change-out to reduce dust... are they supposed to change only the front pads?

Yes, just the front pads.

I just had my 07 IS 350 in today for TSB 0156-08. My car made an engine rattle on cold start and they replaced the camshaft gear assemblies. Apparently this is a problem my service guy has seen on several IS because the previous gear assembly didn't maintain oil pressure within the assembly.

Is there an updated link containing all TSIBs and recalls for the ISX50?

The link in the first post of this thread is pointing to some domain hosting service.

Thanks

I just had this done to my car. Didn't notice any difference, but I was on empty and they fill up your tank when they are done!

2008 is 350

Hello everyone I'm a newbie to the site and just purchased a 2008 IS 350. I love the car and reading this site has provided me with a lot of infomation.

I was wondering if anyone has encountered a problem with a constent tapping noise from the engine. It doesn't matter whether it hot or cold. When I accelerate I hear the tapping fairly loud.
When I brought it to the dealer, they tell me its normal due to the gas pressure in this type of engine.

Can anyone comment.

Thanks

That's the direct injection system. Usually hear it at idle. Yes, I believe it's a high pressure fuel system kinda like for a diesel engine. It's a normal sound.

hey everyone
i'm new here and I got 2007 is350.
I had it for a little while now, but only recently finally bought an intake.
i read all over and decided Injen would be good, so i got it.
now the sound is awesome (loving it), hp and torque increase is definitely there, but theres a problem... i lost throttle response....not all the time, but sometimes when i step on the gas, seems like trany doesnt downshift and it seems like the throttle is behind.
someone told me that coming-out air is restricting that, and that I got to get an aftermarket exhaust, but i feel much more comfortable with stock one, at least for now.
did anyone ever heard of that problem and would know what to do?
thx.

Any power gains are entirely in your imagination- no intake adds enough power to make a noticeable difference in anything but sound on the 2IS. (quite a lot of folks mistake louder for faster though)

Ditto the throttle response if the intake is installed properly (which would be the first thing I'd check- to insure there's not some small leak somewhere in the intake path from something not quite tight enough).

The stock intake already provides more air than the engine is capable of using... it's not like an after-market one now magically provides "extra" air the car doesn't know how to deal with... (that's what the MAFS is for after all).... and thus an aftermarket exhaust, while it'll also add a small few hp, isn't "necessary" for anything else to work properly.
