As far as the tires, yes Pole Positions...which btw I tore them up yesterday auto-x'ng! I reeeeeeellly put some mad abuse on them. I had to, there was a guy with a 330ci w/competition package and slicks!!!
Beat me by half a sec....woulda beat him, but I coned my best run...2 sec penalty.

Yeah, I'm beginning to think my car may be slightly cursed, or maybe I'm just driving with my hands off the wheel too often! It is subtle but I notice it and that's the problem.

Rudy, shouldn't the 330 owner have his time slightly deducted for driving in slicks!?

hmmm...driving with your hands off the wheel....wonder where they are at lol
I have a couple of thoughts...but I will leave it at that.

As far as the slicks, nope, they are allowed in the stock category. Yeah, when I see someone with slicks, you are racing for second place. Easy 2 sec difference with slicks all being equal. I NEED to buy slicks!

Brought my car to the dealer to fix the pull to the right. They didn't believe it was the tires but ended up replacing the fronts with Dunlops. The rears weren't replace but I only have 2.5K miles so no biggie.

It drives better now, but would pull to left or right eventually (that's probably the road).

Were your stock tires Dunlops?

Odd, because the Dunlops I was told, were defective, wonder why they didn't replace with Bridgestones?

My IS350 is in the shop as we speak. Same alignment issue and the district manager told them to replace the front 2 tires with new Dunlops. I expressed my concerns about going back to Dunlop and the response was they have to do what the manager tells them. IF the problem is fixed I get 2 tires. If it isnt they will then move on to most likely replacing all 4 with the Bridgestones.

I am at 12000 miles and got the car in Oct '05

Good luck. Keep us posted. Also, you might let them know that MANY here have had all 4 tires switched to Bridgestone's to remedy the problem. FYI, my car still slightly pulls right, even with the Bridgey's.
I'm meeting with a factory rep in the srping when I get my summer wheels back on.

I haven't seen any tires replaced at my dealership, but we have replaced many sets of the lower control arm bushings with very good results. as in no one coming back complaining. you should request that the tech tries again. they need to get the camber set correctly for it to work. also there were several mentions of the tires being cross rotated. hopefully they dismounted and flipped the tires, i have seen guys put directional tires on the wrong side.

Faulty product or just misassembled?

redesigned part. we're replacing the bushing and bracket that mounts the back of the lower control arm. the new bracket has slots instead of holes so camber can be adjusted.

Interesting. My dealer did not changed anything, just my tires. The tires were diagnosed with "connicity". Basically the tire, from the factory, had a slight deformation, coned shaped which caused the car to pull to the right.
