I'm not sure you really get a choice, my thinking is the reason the guy got Michelin's is because he wanted something immediately and that's all they had in stock?

They've got the tires in, but I'm not in a huge rush to get them swapped, need to do a few more burnouts in the Dunlop's! Actually, now that I've moved it's just finding the right time to get back to the dealership.

Regarding me being your hero! I HOPE not, what a boring life you'd lead if I was your hero! LOL!

It seems to have magically grown for some reason.

Thinking about getting the tires sometime next month. Need to find someone with a decent digital camera to capture my burnouts!

Overall, yes. Very supple ride for a high perf tire for one, fairly quiet, great in the rain. But when pushed to the limit on the dry, the Sport Maxx were a tad better.
The Sport Maxx were more predictable at the limit, and they were more progressive when breaking loose.

For the general population, this will not be an issue.

Mine drives perfectly straight with hardly any drift on the highwy. And this after recently hitting a curb and taking a good notch of aluminum out rim.

I must've been lucky as ther have been no noise or cosmetic issues with this car only my own carelessness with bumping into curbs.

Michael, this is the OEM tire found on the Ferrari Enzo...why complain!!!!!!
Actually this tire was developed for the Enzo...you know you are ridding on a hell of a tire.

And having had, the predecessor to the RE050, the RE040 and the SO3...both in my 1st gen, I take the RE040 any day. The SO3 has a bit more grip, but a lot noisier, specially once it wears out. Plus, a much stiffer ride. And for some reason, it wore out quicker than the RE040.

I think the RE050 is the best of both worlds giving ya superior grip, great wet weather handling, and a decent ride, and noise levels.
Finally got my tires, get this there is STILL some pull to the right, it's improved, but noticeable! Anyway, I noticed on an new '06 still on the lot the stock tires are NOT the "pole positions" just the RE050, Rudy and others, can you verify that you do or don't have the pole positions?
