FIGS Hood Prop Interest? (now with prices) - my.IS

Is anybody interested in the FIGS Hood Prop Kits? Now that it's getting warmer... I think I wanna put them on my car... so I'm probably going to be ordering a set myself. I know that some other people were interested... maybe we could get them shipped together and save on the shipping?

It just replaces the hood prop stick with two gas struts like the rest of the Lexus vehicles. Digger has it on his car.

I still like my stock one. There's nothing wrong with it anyways, as long as it works and keeps the hood open, i'm all good.

They are min 105.00 each USD...I'll stick to the stock one for now...
but they do look kinda cool.

Right now it looks like they just have kits for Lexus models. Either to replace the stock prop sticks on the IS300... or upgrade the kits on other models. There are generic hood prop stick replacement kits which you can get for the Celica. I know TIEN makes them for example... but they are generic... and you'll have to modify them for each car they are being used on.

The FIGS kit uses the existing holes on the car... that's why I'm gonna get that.

I wanna call about prices. Thing is... they have one price... but then they sell thru this website for a different price. But if you order thru my.IS... they won't ship directly to Canada. So... err... I'll see what pricing is like.

I know l-tunedparts.com has the FIGS Hood Props for 135 US and stainless versions for 229 US and they do ship to Canada. It might be cheaper going directly through FIGS though.

I have one on my car for over 2 years, and had no problem at all. In my opinion, it should've come stock on our IS.

Very good product, and Figs is a very good seller.

ALso if u need these for a CF hood, U MUST SPECIFIY that u have a cf b/c they are made differently than for the stock steel hoods.... They are much more gentle when lifting

I also want to get this hood strut kit for my car even though my car already has the hood struts. The reason why is simply because I need the lower powered struts made specifically for CF hoods.

I already contacted Mike at Figs and he said the kit for my car in particular is not yet ready, but will be soon. Perhaps if we all order at the same time he will give us a better deal as I want the stainless steel ones.
