Air Conditioning Works, just not while stopped?
I searched the forums and found some A/C topics, but none specific to my situation.
So here it is; My air conditioning blows cold and strong while the car is moving and works like normal. When stopping at a light, stop sign, or idling in traffic, the air conditioning basically stops working after a minute or two. Air still blows through the vents, but it becomes hot air.
One thing I have noticed is that it sounds like the cooling fan turns off once the car is at a stop for a minute or two, and the air setting turns automatically switch from circulate to fresh air. No lights blink on the climate controls, the A/C light stays lit.
It leads me to believe that it has to do with the fan, more so than the A/C itself - such as the condenser, does that sound right? The car does not overheat when at idle though, which confuses me if the fan stops.
Once the car starts moving again, the air blows cold and strong again.
Any insight would be very much appreciated!!
