So the aem v2 from dezod acts as a piggy back with the most features, or it is still a stand alone that just uses the stock ecu to take care of it's light work?

The AEM controls fuel and ignition exclusively while the factory ECU still does multi-plex, dash and other amenities.

Is this still the case or have things progressed with the introduction of the AEM Infinity? Does the standalone still only control fuel and ignition or is it now able to control some multiplex aspects? Thanks!

You will lose traction control with V2, the Infinity Traction Control: Programmable traction control (wheel speed of engine accel.) for 2-wheel slip included. 4-wheel traction control offered only with Advanced Tuning Package (see Advanced Tuning Package).

You will not lose CC or VVTi control

you can make it all work, but it will require a good bit of extra work. I run an AEM EMS v2 and have traction control, Cruise, even passed emissions. (this is really hard to do btw and usually takes me a month or so of tuning constantly to get it to go right)

from what i remember about the dezod is the CEL light is cut, reconnect it, build an ignition simulator, and make sure all your o2s are plugged in and working properly, along with all other stock sensors. You can do it. i also recommend a zener diode in the maf circuit to prevent it from maxing out and throwing a CEL. I recommend an ecu reset relay but this will prevent you from passing emissions.

That information was very helpful.

In this case do you think the Haltech Device Emulator will help ? As in the below link.

if it doesn't do primary or secondary o2 signals, then no - that's the hardest part, the rest is child's play.
