I got you man. November 2005. I hope to be running by June as well. Hopefully sooner but we'll see. If sooner, I need to make some quick decisions on some stuff and just buy them.

I feel ya on that.

You hate to put a timetable on something like this, but it is good to have some goals, especially with nice weather and alot of events I want to attend looming...

You still going with the aeroturbine?
And why?
I need to order my mufflers soon. Was originally going to go with magnaflows, but Seven says they are extremely loud. Kane suggested Dynomax's...
At this point I may even just ebay them.

I am going with the Aero because of a couple reasons. One, it is pretty reasonably priced (http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/sale...aust/Mufflers)...

But mosly because they have a resonated one that according to many on Supraforums, sounds very mean and is not so obnoxious.

It's 190 a muffler. Tha'ts not cheap.
Dynomax's are about 100 and Magnaflows are less.
Damn. Baller.

Dynomax mufflers are flow tested and you can see on their website what the flow rate is. The one I'm looking at flows 1000cfm.

I'm not sure what the aeroturbine or magnaflow does though.

Burns Stainless makes 4" mufflers too, but they are even more than the AeroTurbines...

4" in, 5.5" out...

do 2x 3" mufflers out the back. if you do it right (which i know you can) it'll be sweet

you might lose some power but it'll look way cool and probably sound way cool

I'm not doing it for looks.
I'm doing it because I can't have my car that loud.
Dual 2.5" hopefully should be much quieter than a 3".

Why do you say you'd lose power with dual 3"?

losing power with a dual 3" as opposed ato a single 4"..

i dunno - i didn't really think it through, you do increase your surface area for friction, then there will be a pressure loss at teh split but other than that i gues it wouldn't really make that much of a difference, the extra 1.5 sq.in. of cross sectional area would more than make up for that

i suspect a single 4" would be louder than a dual 3" but i have nothing to back that up other than more sound deadening material, of course you could put a few muflers in a row i suppose. just a thought - i think it would look and sound pretty sweet and it greatly opens up your choices of mufflers

Yeah, I put my 4" up for sale. It's gonna be too loud. I just can't have it.
I'm hoping to outflow a 3" and still be quieter. I really don't think a 4" is completely necessary. Hell, take a look at js300's car. A full 3" exhaust and makes 600bhp on pump. Good enough for me.

i concur that it's not all that neccessary. if the car was making 1000+ i could see it but i believe 3" is more than suitable for decent hp cars, especially if they are for the street.
