My Boost Diary: Building a Monster!

It has been over six months since I trashed my motor due to a snapped timing belt. While this did suck, I have turned this into an opportunity... I have decided not to put her back together as she was, but to take this opportunity to build a MONSTER! With the help of my two good friends, Tim (SloRice) and Eric (spin2gst), this work will all be done in the garage...

Most of this downtime has been spent amassing funds and parts for the massive rebuild. Things are really starting to speed up now, as I now have many of the needed parts and many are on order. The fun part is about to begin!

This thread will serve as a sort of Photo Journal and diary of our efforts. The good, the bad, and the ugly. We will document our trials and tribulations, as well as update our progress. We will use this thread to pose relevant questions, ask for suggestions, and to absorb criticism. On topic dialog is encourged, but please, no BS banter in this thread however...

This thread will get more exciting in the next few weeks.

Correct, we removed the motor and the V160 in a storage unit. That actually wasnt to bad. The bad part was we only had 1 shoplight to do the work. It was powered off of a 12V inverter plugged into Slorice's winter car.

questions: are you also going to relocate the battery to the trunk? and move the ABS box to the former battery location, ala Sophiesleeps? that would seem to free up alot of space...

We are moving the ABS to where the battery is. Malekreza is helping me with that. I have an Odyssey battery, which is very small. If we can get away with putting them both in the battery location we will do that. If not, yes, we will be moving the battery to the trunk.
