Go faster with 2jzge

I know the only real way to get serious power out of these cars is to boost them. I'm just looking to upgrade a few parts to make it a little bit quicker to hold me off until I boost it. I was wondering if a standalone would do good if I got it tuned and flashed. Curious if that would give me a little more power. Let me know your opinions/setups that you like. Thanks!

That would most likely be a lot of money for little gain. Id like to see what the gains would be though so go for it and follow back up lol.

Whatever money you spend to make it faster N/A you could have just put towards boosting. A standalone and tune would be a lot and you would to change a lot of parts to ever make any ECU and tune worth it.

I had a GE with Dezod headers, SRT catback, SRT intake with their "ECU", Brian crower 264 cams, titan exhaust came gear, and FRS 4.10 LSD rear end.

The car sounded great and was for sure faster than stock but with the thousands spent on that it could have all been put towards boost. To me it was worth it because it made the car very enjoyable.

Also had a lot of suspension mods but that doesn't help it go faster.

Good luck

This is the reason i haven't spent anything to try to make mine any faster in a straight line. Ive done things that make it more fun to drive and thats most likely where i'll leave it unless I feel like I have money burning a hole in my pocket and end up boosting it.

Thanks for your reply man! I just have a measly intake and exhaust nothing special at all. Reason for me asking is I have not seen a post about someone making the N/A any faster. So I thought I'd see if anyone had before. I will most likely just try to save for boost

It is inevitable you will end up spending and doing everything as long as you own you car. If you are doing it all yourself much different than taking to a shop money wise the money you save in long run will go to boost. I am building up to boost it is last on list sure it's tough waiting but worth it i think. If your keeping it. I have done light flywheel, cat back exhaust, act clutch, bc s2 cams bc valve springs, tit retainers, all suspension tanabe springs, swaybars, strut supports, running 17x10 +20 offset rims in rear 17x9 in front that alone gives me cart handling very fun. once boosted you will want that control. I started with a notion to make my boost at a 2500.00 which i laugh about now which is possible with used parts. to answer your question there is a post with some dyno # i came across but it was at around 250hp with cams, intake, full exhaust, if you can delete the kitties. or hi flo (dezods) maybe more its all money for little increases at a time but when all added up = good fun

ProEFI 128 with patch harness. Dual walbro 255's. Single -8 feed y-ed to -6 dual feed First State fuel rail. Single -6 return to Aeromotive regulator. ID 1000 injectors. I have a flex fuel sensor but I'm not going to do that right away (maybe never). Turbo is a Borg Warner EFR 8374 0.91 internal wastegate/bov.

Running into an issue with fitting the wastegate canister with the Suprastore manifold so that should be interesting.

Thats what I like to see, why you going with internal wastegate set up? with the proefi do you know if they have dbw and trac there forum is relatively new and bland?

Where's your power steering reservoir? I have mine next to the IM but am looking to put it elsewhere to be make some space for removal.
