sorted out the fans....again today.

and then moved onto stripping the insides out in preperation for....

had to modify the sunroof to allow room for the hoop, still operates in the tilt mode.......its a luxury car, goto keep some luxury:nod:

got the dash out, and have started removing the unwanted wiring from the loom, pretty much got the dash part sorted out, just need to trace back a few wires....

and the heart of the whole thing.........

so.......................i decided to snip away a little more un-used wire loom.......or i thought it was.

id decided i would try and stay with the oem heater and fan system as its pretty darn good....and once the condenser was removed the whole box less fan motor only weighed 2 kg

however as with these sorts of things once you start chopping out what you consider are un needed wire...something wont work........

initially it was the actuating motors for the Heater flaps.....soon sorted, some how, dunno maybe magic

then none of the actual instruments worked..worrying as there all multiplexed together......quick hack back of the loom covering revealed a wire i shouldnt have snipped....

however ill be dammed if i can actually get the fookin fan running

well i have goto admit it...............i love doing wireing

i know have all the front part of the loom trimmed back, having removed everything from the loom which isnt needed.

all i need to do know is wait till thr cars back, then tidy up the wireing going into the racelogic and HKS F-Con V Pro, so that they can be mounted seperatley, without bunches of wireing all over the place

ive stripped out the rear wire loom completely, in preperation for the roll cage, and will be unbolting the fuse boxes and moving them with the now unclipped side and front loom into the middle of the car, so there out of the way, again for when the cage goes in

well the cars loaded onto the trailer now...ready to go to cambridge for the Rollcage, so thought id try out a few bits that have arrived for the old girl

oh look.....

the std front bumper....is back on, im gonna use std bumpers from now on, as there cheap as chips.......im just going to cut the openings to increase airflow, as can be seen

i am using the "narrow" front wings from the blue car, as i have now re-adjusted the front upper Cusco wishbone to increase camber to tuck the wheels further in at the top,

you will also notice the GT wing has gone......replaced BY a nice TRD lip spoiler

and for the standerd front bumper i will be modifying this....

The WALD front lip, to match my WALD side skirts, and the new rear skirt.....

also from WALD.....

thats the aero sorted, now to carry on with everything else

today got part of my order in from Mocal

x4 AN -16 weld on threaded bungs (for the Breather system)
x2 AN -16 90 deg Unions (for Breather system)
x2 AN -4 caps (for the Coolant system)
x1 AN -8 weld on threaded bung (for the coolant system)
x1 AN -6 weld on threaded bung (for the Coolant system)

and part of the new cooling system set up will consist of this item, which was bought from one of your NASCAR teams over in the US, will allow me to run higher pressure in the coolant system once i sort out the new plumbing..... it also has built in pressure testing and will allow me to constant bleed of from 4 points in the engine...which should help aleviate the over heating issues ive been having, as the header tank will give me a bigger reserve of coolant......hopefully

its all overkill, but i belive if your gonna do it once...do it right
