well after some issues with the rear subframe the first Dyno run has been done, this was mostly to sort out Engine mapping throughout the RPM range.

the Dyno print shows the readings taken in 6th gear(over driven) with Catalytic converter fitted.

it is currently estimated that without cat, and true readings taken (1:1 ratio, in 5th gear) that the RWHP will be 480-500 rwhp, which equates to approx 600 hp at the Flywheel, this is on Pump gas

that reading is a 6th gear reading, this run was mapping the engine, iand ensuring that all the bits hold together,

Already the rear control arms had to be modified to spherical bearings as the Eccentric adjusters bent due to Torque.

and now its been found that the Subframe is moving around on the TRD bushes, so Solid mounts are being Machined.

i must point out the car is still running its Original IS200 Torsen diff, so the gearing is set very low at the moment, and its this low gearing which is breaking things.....amazingly the diff is Holding up, and the plan is to see, How long it holds up.

the readings are also Metric HP, there is a difference, i think its a very respectable reading for a first run....in 6th, with Cat fitted, for engine set up purposes, i didnt have to post the Print out, but as this topic is a Log of events, i thought it Usefull to show where the car is at.

everyone talks HP, its Torque that you need....

i think the Torque figures are very reasonable, as i said in the post above.

the run at Full throttle will soon be done, dont worry, its not finished yet

that is indeed very nice man. as you go forward you are definately putting all problems behind you like the arm issue. In the end you will have a truley spectacular car. Congrats on the dyno and on the future tuning. 500whp on pump is nothing to sneeze at, and to think that is where you are starting off at is even that much more impressive.

Theres still a long way to go....but everyone involved is being Methodical and cutting no corners.

When TDI's Rototest is upgraded shortly, The car will go back on the Dyno

The only way to get a true power and torque figure is by testing in a direct gear ratio....as this wasnt

To get an idea of the true performance of this car (at the hubs), you can add at leat 15% to the figures shown in the above Certificate of Performance.

i have been following this topic for sometime now.........i think you have created one of the greatest IS's i have ever seen.........all around you have done everything and haven't cut a single corner..........this topic is full of great information and i would like to say thanks for shareing it all with us..........and i would have to disagree with some of the people that don't like your front bumper..........i think that creating a one of a kind bumper like this is great........it is really agressive and it adds to this car well........good luck on the goal at hand here.........

Hell yeah Mat, nice work. I think the mods to the subframe are probably expected as with the eccentrics, those damn things barely hold stock. I would love to swap notes on the rear end mods sometime, hit me up on PM or AIM.

I think for the first pop, those numbers are respectable, nowhere to go but up with an extensive focus on tuning now. Great job.
