i just thought of another open wheeled street car....
the chrysler Prowler. Now i know its not the most technologically advanced car. but i wonder how that aero design holds out.
plus you mentioned some touring race cars that also use the method you did on the bumper...do you have any pics of those cars. I follow all kinds of racing but I cant recall seeing that type of bumper on any of them.
I really appreciate your original ideas.... I think the car looks awesome as is! I have always loved the look of a GT style wing, splitter, diffuser, canards, etc when used in context. It's the fact they all have a proper function, and they aren't there just for looks.... Great looking car, and keep up the "work of art"...

Man this is some machine! Like others I'm not sure on the bumper but what I personally feel really isn't important anyway! Is this something you are building yourself? I notice a windshield sticker- is that anything to do with the build? Either way keep up the good work and I hope we can see some figures soon!
Edit: Damn just saw the last post date (I was sent the link to this thread from another forum) has this project ended early? ANyone know what the current situation is?
yes the car has been sponsered and co built by TORQUE DEVELOPMENTS INTL in london. Through them a fantastc deal was set up with HKS Europe
they have got the car currently for final mapping, and a few small issues, like propshaft balancing, and fitting the racelogic traction and launch control. All should be done in 2 weeks
while i concentrate on getting my race IS finished,
Hi there superchargedIS200 (sorry don't know your name!)
Thanks for coming back. Would you be able to clarify just what you have done and what TORQUE DEVELOPMENTS INTL have done as you say it has been 'co built'?
For example:
Engine fitment
Exhaust/downpipe manufacturer and fitment
Gearbox fitment
Prop design and fitment
Getting the car running ie sorting out ECU/s
Body modifications (inc bumper and arches)
The electronic issues (like speedo/rev/anything to do with integrating the stock dash to the Supra engine)
Brake upgrade
Intercooler fitment
Also, the thread reads like you have been dealing with HKS Europe yourself- is this the case? If so I will give them a call and see if they are interested in sponsering me!
Sorry for being so intrusive and I realise you must be a busy man but I'm half thinking about getting this done myself and would need someone to carry out all the work for me so it would be great if you could point me in the right direction!
if your in the UK i would Highly recomend TDI....as for dealing direct with HKS europe ive never said i did, infact in the post previous to yours i did say " Through them a fantastc deal was set up with HKS Europe"
if you want to know specifics PM me
but TDI did the mechanical instalation, I would have liked to have done it myself, there are things i personally would have done slightly different, Better even, however as i am pushed for time in my workshop with building a Lexus race car,and running it as a business and military commitments, it seemed sensible to get things done by a competent tuner.
Sometimes i wish i should have done it myself, and i could have apart from the intigration of the HKS f-con PRO(no f-con pro software)
i wanted to use the Autronic SM2 and would have if i had done everything myself......i did have other options, including shipping the car to Reg Riemer in Canada to get it done
the prop was designed by a prop manufacturer, however balancing was incorrectly carried out!, and looking at the prop, im not to sure on the greatness of the design, something i can re-address when i get the car back
the dash electronics were sorted by Toyota motorsport, after the initial atempt wouldnt work correctly, i myself eventually solved the problem of the speed signal by taking the feed from the ABS
brakes and suspension was done by myself, as were all the body modifications, loom was done by TDI and parts of the electronics were re-done by myself, Co built means many different people involved with a common goal.
where was you linked from to this Topic?

Guess that is why it has a roll cage huh. That is the rprob with trying to go 200MPH, too my air lift. You need the front wing to push you to the ground.
Nice work Mat, keep things up.
